:patriot:
Fuck this country
Fuck this country
It's not the country it's the government.
It's not the country it's the government.
And the country does nothing about it.
And the country does nothing about it.
How much have you done about it?
How much have you done about it?
Informed my rep and senate that I do not want this to be extended. Not much else I can do after that point, other than blowing up washington dc and claiming a new order.

FFfuuuuuuuuuuu
good thing I'm white!
myself, I think it has helped improved national security, at least according to some politicians. On the other hand, it seems like they're peeking inside my personal life. I don't have anything to hide, but still. I'm rather neutral about the subject.. so long as I don't know someone is listening specifically to me.

THere is just more poorly paid, poorly trained TSA "agents" at the airports. There is just more checks. More fear, more hysteria. More spying and claiming to do it for "terrorism". Its all bullshit, something to fuel their martial law crap. But national security as a whole? Nothing improved. Not 1 fucking bit. Its just more restriction and less freedom. Both the republicans and democrats can go suck on each others dick.

Just making sure you weren't one of those armchair activists who does nothing but complain about the state of things.
I wrote to my representatives and senators, not that they give a mouse's taint about what one college student says about something that they'll never be affected by.
How do you explain all the democrats that voted for the PATRIOT Act then?
republicans have done far many worse things
republicans have done far many worse things
I agree, but it's pretty crappy that Democrats are supporting the Patriot act. :sigh:

[editline]18th February 2011[/editline]
republicans have done far many worse things
That doesn't change the fact that they voted for it Both of the current main parties are pretty stupid

Fine by me. People get so over sensitive over this shit.
the people that detest the patriot act are usually the ones that have child pornography on their computers or some other incriminating shit in their background history

God dammit America. I'm moving to Canada.
That doesn't change the fact that they voted for it
my point is flying over your head isn't it?
Both of the current main parties are pretty stupid
I like how conservatives/libertarians always try to put the democrats on the same level as republicans
my point is flying over your head isn't it? I like how conservatives/libertarians always try to put the democrats on the same level as republicans
You're the one missing the point that yes, conservatives are worse than democrats, but some of the democrats in congress and the senate are pretty goddamn awful too, as shown by the voting record on this. The GOP doesn't have a Senate majority yet this still passes 82-12. That's pretty bad. e: And the fact that they haven't called Obama out for continuing the same policies that they called Bush out for
Informed my rep and senate that I do not want this to be extended. Not much else I can do after that point, other than blowing up washington dc and claiming a new order.
My Senator and Rep are already anti-Patriot Act. :smug:
my point is flying over your head isn't it?
It seems to be the other way around. You cant justify the Dems doing stupid shit by saying "BUT THE REPUBLICANS DO STUPID SHIT TOO!"
I like how conservatives/libertarians always try to put the democrats on the same level as republicans
Both sides never do what they promise to and create gridlock by shooting down each others legislation simply to spite each other. Pretty sure that counts as stupid and counterproductive.
It seems to be the other way around. You cant justify the Dems doing stupid shit by saying "BUT THE REPUBLICANS DO STUPID SHIT TOO!"
lol my point is flying over your head by a mile. no one is justifying that the democrats voted in favor of extending the patriot act. I was replying to another poster who put the democrats on the same level as the republicans, which isn't true at all. the democrats are no where near as bad as republicans.
i dont see how this effects me which is the only reason why i dont care its not like im hiding bombs or anything, i actually feel more comfortable knowing that people are actually looking out for suicide bombers as someone in my state tried to blow up a US army recruitment center with fake plastic explosives just recently
