yeah what's the deal with conservatives always having attractive women as their hosts
They're very sneaky about how they spread their lies.
Baby mice in beer bottles: Terrorist conspiracy, or honest mistake, eh?
Guys, Canada is kind of a much more flexible with it's political parties.
There is no far right in Canada, what would Fox North have to say?
"The Liberals, trying to pass the long g... wait, the conservatives are backing that too?
Okay, what about abortion? No legal restrictions? Alright.
What about immigration! Right, nobody cares about illegal American immigrants.
Well fuck."
Imagining your posts in a Canadian accent has made them inconceivably more hilarious for me.
I dident know I had a accent.

Beh.
Knowing them they'll get SOMETHING to complain about
And then gather up a following of retards and ruin your politics
yay.
More importantly, why would Fox set up in Canada when they don't really have anything to gain? Canadians don't vote in American politicians.

This isn't Fox, this is a station that would be similar to Fox. It isn't run by Fox. Fox is not involved. Fox.
Do you have any idea how much sway Alberta has in politics?
Well it's diminishing since the province is hemorrhaging jobs but it's still a giant conservative outpost.
Toronto and the province of Quebec have far more effect on this country than Alberta ever will.
Yeah I don't get why people here in Canada bash the Progressive Conservatives. Our "right wing" is still further left than the US Democrats, so calling Harper "the next Bush" or a facist really highlights how little many voters really know about politics. The PCs have been in power for some time now and have really done quite well, reversing two terrible CRTC decisions, lowering personal taxes and GST, opening tax free savings accounts... they have also very bluntly stated that they are no longer willing to touch the abortion and gay marriage debates (both are legal here). What's really great is they've managed to get all this done while they have to wade through all the petty accusations from the opposition and the legal system fights their every move just to be spiteful (most of the judges were appointed by the Liberal party).
So far my only real beef is they caved to opposition demands to inject stimulus funds (the same parties who now cry about us being in a deficit... fucktards, it was their idea) and that they are looking at cutting corporate taxes which really don't need to be cut.
Oh, directly on topic: As Blanketspace said, Fox News actually has nothing to do with this new channel. "Fox News North" is a name being pinned on the channel by all the Liberal owned/friendly news agencies. Virtually every paper and broadcaster in Canada has a heavy Liberal slant.
Hopefully we Canadians can stay immune to the stupidity and ignorance Fox News has seemed to spread so well throughout the US.

Also I choked on my maple syrup when I read this news.

Actually, our news outlets do the news.
Find me proof of left bias in CBC, CTV, or Global.
Reality isn't biased to the left, it just seems like it when you're used to seeing Fox-style vitriol.
I can say that at least in Saskatchewan, I haven't seen the slightest little bit of political bias, and I watch the local news nearly every day.

It's kinda balanced out by ultra liberal BC right next to it.

I doubt this Fox North thing will work anyway because culturally and politically Canadians like to push american influence as far away as they can.

thats because the communist liberals already brainwashed you!!
Good thing we have legislation in the UK to stop this sort of thing
Though that doesn't stop Murdoch from having his fingers in all the various media pies regardless.
Wow, OK thanks for ruining my back-up plans for when Fox News takes over US even more.

I really feel sorry for you guys, but it should interesting to see how Fox US criticizes Canada's news show now that well they might be in turn criticizing "themselves."

Dear GOD NO!
Got to go warn my Canadian friend that his country is about to get hit with stupid.
That Avaaz petition everybody signed I'm pretty sure claimed that it beat this.
So what's changed?
I like the CBC. (see avatar)
A conservative(from the party) friend of claims they have a liberal(also talking about the party, not the ideology) bias.
First it's Canada... then Quebec, then France... OH GOD
Well world, it's been nice knowing you.
I wonder what it'll be like for canadians to get a news channel that hates them?
