why do so much people care about a fucking ending? its not like its the end of the world or anything
Because all the stuff Bioware promised simply wasn't there, instead they lied to their fans and delivered a shit ending that had no weight on how you've played the game.
It was patched in by Bethesda, originally you couldn't send him in.
I thought sending him was a part of the Broken Steel update, then again I might have played the game so late after its launch that I would not have noticed if it was a patch to the update.
why do so much people care about a fucking ending? its not like its the end of the world or anything
Because the ending made it feel like every single thing you ever did in the entire Mass Effect series did not matter at all.
why do so much people care about a fucking ending? its not like its the end of the world or anything
Personally I don't give a shit about Mass Effect, I just think it's a real dick move to not give your fans what you promised them.
why do so much people care about a fucking ending? its not like its the end of the world or anything
[sp]Well actually it is[/sp] :v:
this was their plan
make a shitty ending so everyone will complain, then make them spend even more money for a good one in a DLC
Any way to tell the ending without spoilers? I have only played like 6 hours of ME1 :v:
I'm just curious on how it is bad.

Let's just say that everything you do in the past, has no effect. And the alternative endings are all the same, just in different hue.
I hope they troll everyone with an excessively confusing ending.
I don't take that back
Any way to tell the ending without spoilers? I have only played like 6 hours of ME1 :v:

Well let's just say that everything's great until one thing happens, and then after that new characters pop in in literally the last 10 minutes with hundreds of plot-holes suddenly appearing and there's no closure whatsoever and also there's no positive ending and everyone looses in a manner of speaking.
For all the people saying its immune to criticism as its art, I give you the following.
Just imagine this, Star Wars VI return of the jedi, the last 10 minutes of the film consist of this.
The Millennium falcon pancakes into a wall inside the Deathstar, the entire rebel fleet is obliterated,
all of the characters you cared about are vaporised in front of your eyes, and you have a 5 minute montage of the Deathstar floating around blowing planets up with the emperor cackling in the background.
Wouldn’t you just feel the slightest bit insulted if they turn round at the last minute and piss all over one of your favourite films at the last minute shouting “LOL U MAD?”
Calling criticism of Mass Effect 3's ending "incredibly painful,"
Poor guy:(
Yes you could, I've played FO3 many times and I've sent in Charron, Fawkes, Sentinel Lyons, myself, and another follower whose name escapes me.
Sergeant RL-3, I believe?
huh. Interesting. If EA lets them release it for free I'm buying a lottery ticket.
Charging for it would likely throw the fanbase off the deep end.
And yet I doubt EA will give half a shit. They don't care what the fans think and will happily override any good will by one of their studios in the name of making a buck.
I'll be surprised if EA doesn't charge for it and allows Bioware to release it free.
Fallout 3?
FO3's ending wasn't spectacular but it wasn't terrible either. Nobody threatened a class-action lawsuit over it.
Because all the stuff Bioware promised simply wasn't there, instead they lied to their fans and delivered a shit ending that had no weight on how you've played the game.
because it matters so much right?
Keep Hamburger Hepler away from the ending.
She could have done a far better job than the shit that was previously served up.

I wonder how many expected a sugar coated happy ending and wanted it
perfectly happy endings are many times super shitty and unfitting
though to be fair, the current ending is pretty retarded.
infact, it's so retarded, that I think Chris Chan could have come up with a better ending.
Interesting to hear they are really making a new ending. But to me Bioware couldn't have been so stupid to expect everyone to enjoy [sp]3 choices at the end that are 90% recolors. Most importantly all of them make us question the fate of the galaxy even without the Reapers.[/sp]. So if they didn't have enough time to finish it properly they should have delayed it and if they planned to release a better ending later on as a paid DLC they really dropped low. Anyway, what ever is the truth the fact they have to make a new ending after the game is released just tells me Bioware should finally rethink their development strategy because DA2, TOR and now ME3 prove they possibly become too self-confident.
because it matters so much right?
what's your point
sure I'll humor you. it's not as big a deal as the real world coming to an end? but it's still important to a lot of people who have invested a lot of time and money and emotional attachment in an otherwise fantastic series. they don't want to see it end on such a low note.
why are you posting if you don't care
Keep Hamburger Hepler away from the ending.
she wasn't even involved with the game.
and Wrex baking me a cake would be the best fucking ending ever.
this picture actually describes what i would like the ending to be.
Isn't this exactly what Charles Dickens did with Great Expectations?
Well except for the part where the original ending wasn't garbage.
yeah except the whole book itself sucked
Its gotten attention by the BBC, having the law enforcement come into play, and even letting Amazon give full refunds for any edition of the game, open or not.
Im pretty sure they asked for it by making an ending like this.
Fallout 3?
On topic, I can't believe they caved in. I'm glad that they did, but I just can't believe it. They'll win back a lot of fans from this.
They didn't really change the ending there as much as they let you keep playing after it, though.
The indoctrination theory makes and is an awesome writing if true, but if true, and they charge for this DLC, it is bullshit, but if its free, it good.
It's because of all this backlash that I haven't bought ME3 yet.
I was total bro's with Wrex throughout Mass Effect 1, I [sp]saved him from getting shot by that one dumb bitch![/sp] He even [sp]showed up in the 2nd one, and the look on his face and my face, and when he goes, "SHEPARD!", I was teary eyed.[/sp] I cannot imagine an ending [sp]without[/sp] him.
[sp]Those fucking Mass Relays better not blow up[/sp]
[sp]Those fucking Mass Relays better not blow up[/sp]
[sp]"You can choose to destroy the reapers, Shepard. Oh also the Geth are killed for no reason... Oh and the citadel... Screw it! The Mass Relays (Which we know are the backbone of galactic civilization) get to join in on the fun! All those get blown up for the fun of it!" -> AKA: I don't think any of those last things HAVE to explode. Maybe the Citadel since maybe it "overloads" but it's still bullshit. Why does the magic beam HAVE to destroy all those things. Can't we calibrate it for it to just kill the damned reapers?[/sp]
