The ending sucked but I still genuinely feel bad for Bioware. [editline]21st March 2012[/editline]
wow, I bet the guy manning the Mass Effect twitter feels like shit now.
I read the twitter. I have yet to see one comment the ME twitter replied to that doesn't include "ending was bad" in one way or another. Generally the reply is "thanks for the feedback, what was your favorite moment?"

I have no problems with this. Also quick question, is Wrex in ME3? I haven't got the chance to play the game yet I just know about the endings.
I felt the endings were perfectly fine. This cycle has occurred countless times. It is only with Shepard's actions that they've even gotten this close to defeating the Reapers. Most of you are looking at it as if every decision should carry some massive consequences. Many of the decisions simply shape Shepard as a person. If you're Renegade you're probably morel likely to fall into the Reapers bidding than a Paragon who is attempting to unite the galaxy to defeat them. The choices presented were fine, this is the only time such choices have been presented. It's the lack of being shown the aftermath that is disappointing. Besides who says we'll even play Shepard in the DLC?
I seriously doubt they'd make a DLC where you don't play as Shepard. Seems like that'll wait until they either make a more sizable expansion or a spinoff.
I have no problems with this. Also quick question, is Wrex in ME3? I haven't got the chance to play the game yet I just know about the endings.
Yeah, Wrex is in ME3. AUTOMERGE damnit.
I have no problems with this. Also quick question, is Wrex in ME3? I haven't got the chance to play the game yet I just know about the endings.
He's there and as awesome as ever.
I have no problems with this. Also quick question, is Wrex in ME3? I haven't got the chance to play the game yet I just know about the endings.
Yeah he is He doesn't play a major part in the ending though [editline]21st March 2012[/editline] But then again neither do 95% of the other characters
You feel bad for them because they rewrote the ending of a pre-planned trilogy at the last moment?
I feel bad for them because I'm sure even though they flopped they did their best.
I feel bad for them because I'm sure even though they flopped they did their best.
If that's their best I don't want to see their worst Oh wait I already did
Yeah he is He doesn't play a major part in the ending though [editline]21st March 2012[/editline] But then again neither do 95% of the other characters
Then I guess thats another reason not to play the game, other then the endings :v: Wrex is fucking awesome and my favorite character in the ME universe. I hope the DLC will at least give him a bigger role ;/
I don't get the whole Mass Relay problem. Sure, it was fucking stupid to have that happen, but didn't human ships have the same sort of technology built into them? I think I remember that from the first game. Maybe I'm wrong, but whatever.
It would take decades to travel across the galaxy with the FTL they have available, and that's ignoring that ships barely have enough fuel to fly around local clusters.
what's your point sure I'll humor you. it's not as big a deal as the real world coming to an end? but it's still important to a lot of people who have invested a lot of time and money and emotional attachment in an otherwise fantastic series. they don't want to see it end on such a low note. why are you posting if you don't care
my god its like avatards all over again [editline]21st March 2012[/editline] almost as bad as weaboos.
my god its like avatards all over again [editline]21st March 2012[/editline] almost as bad as weaboos.
The Tali cosplayers are thataway-----------> This is Facepunch, not the Bioware social forum.
The Tali cosplayers are thataway-----------> This is Facepunch, not the Bioware social forum.
really? its funny how most people hate those who obsess over something they dont like, but when you obsess over me3, its cool.
really? its funny how most people hate those who obsess over something they dont like, but when you obsess over me3, its cool.
Obsessing? Honestly? Do you get pissed at people who make analyses of classic books like The Adventures of Tom Sawyer too?
Obsessing? Honestly? Do you get pissed at people who make analyses of classic books like The Adventures of Tom Sawyer too?
Obsessing as in taking people to court over a bad ending, complaining up and down the forums, bitching about it non stop. You made a terrible analogy, get over it, someone disagrees with you on the ending. its a game.

After all, as you put it, "its a game". I suppose a story that completely drops the bomb after a 5-year series that costs hundreds of dollars to fully experience is something 92% of people who hated the ending should just "get over"?
I'm talking about those who are obsessing over it, If you didnt like the ending, good for you, but that doesnt mean go spamming forums and suing because you didnt like it.
The idea of being fooled into a good ending by bioware is lulz. I mean Star Wars Old Republic 2 mostly ended in short movies with each of them just leaving or the main character staying on the planet if she/he is dark side.
A little bit off topic but I just wanted to clarify. KotOR2 was made by Obsidian Entertainment and is also one of the games that suffered heavily from cut content. The entire final act was supposed to be this huge climax where all your relationships come in play but because they had a deadline the story suffered some major cuts. Although in the end it leaves you expecting a sequel it still gave better closure than ME3.
I'm talking about those who are obsessing over it, If you didnt like the ending, good for you, but that doesnt mean go spamming forums and suing because you didnt like it.
No complaining allowed!
No complaining allowed!
Only the person with the shittiest life in the world is allowed to complain, didn't you know?
I don't get the obsession with trying to force Bioware to change the ending. It was how they decided to end the story, and you may be justifiably upset, but starting petitions and all that nonsense to try and change what Bioware themselves envisioned is ridiculous.
Because the ending is a pile of shit and it was not even what "bioware envisioned". It's an ending shat out by people who barely worked on the game before and who had the balls to fire the one guy who started the series and already had a built-up ending ready for mass effect 3. It's like if for star wars VI, George Lucas was replaced by Uwe Boll and the movie ended up with Luke dying, all the other characters being never heard of again after the second act, the Death Star farting magic rainbows over the planets and Lando getting stranded on Endor where he has to recreate the human race with C3PO.
Lando getting stranded on Endor where he has to recreate the human race with C3PO.
I'm sure there's a porn of that...[sub]somewhere...[/sub]
I think that maybe bioware did the bad ending so they would make this DLC that would add the real ending. That way this will take the one free DLC for the console so the real DLC that comes out later will force people to pay for it. :tinfoil:
This modified ending will add a fourth colour.
I can get all the endings I want by fiddling with my monitor's color settings.
Is there an ending where legion can come back to life? I know he sacrificed himself to give all the geth intelligence (which is, in itself pretty awesome), but I still miss the guy. He was my favorite character.
Do you have any sources for your ramble or is it just that?
The lead writer for Mass Effect left after the second game. http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2012/02/bioware-writer-retires/
