I doubt it, since he's never really a bad person or anything even in Breaking Bad, he's still kind of a nice guy in that.
Isn't [sp]Charles his brother, though? If you look there's one shot where you see his mail and it's the same surname as Jimmy's. We can assume it's not his father as he doesn't call him "dad", but he definitely has the same surname so yeah, I think it's his brother[/sp]
BRAVO VINCE

[sp]I think there is a chance they aren't related due to him being asked to change his company name from Mcgill to something else. Though, I do vaguely remember something about coat-tails in that scene, so you may actually be right[/sp]

Saul is a horrible scummy person though. I don't see how he's relatable unlike Walt.

[sp]I think Charles is just a bit overly loyal to the firm that he founded / "helped out with" and sorta wants Jimmy to stop riding on his/its back. He said "Whose side are you on?" Implying that Charles should obviously be on his.[/sp]
I'm sure it'll be revealed in an episode or two. :v:
Also, I loved the part where [sp]That bald mexican guy who Tuco beats to death in BB interrupts him again. I can't help but respect Tuco...[/sp] :v:
Watching it made me realize how much I missed [sp]Mike[/sp]

Why are you spoilering this? They're brothers, the press release says it, their relationship says it. Not everything is deep in Vince Gilligan's writing.
Why are brba fans always trashing on walking dead? Not the best show around obviously, but there are far worse shows out there.
Is it cos theyre both on amc or what, lol
Walking Dead is seemingly endless with its lack of solid themes (anything worth putting across was done in season 1), routine scenarios and throw-away characters. BB is pretty much the polar opposite of that.
It didn't really keep my interest. [sp] Slow intro, actually a lot of the scenes were pretty slow. [/sp]
I guess because I've never seen breaking bad.
It's a good thing they came after TWD, that boosted their ratings. (the same way Talking Dead coming on right after TWD boosts their ratings.)
Not really spoilers, but talk about the episodes anyway so imma sp-tag the shit of of my next part.
[sp] Yeah, the first episode was a bit slow. The very first part even caught me off-guard, I was confused about what period I was living in. Maybe because I'm slow as fuck, that kinda played a part in it I think. The second episode was much, much better tho. It hooked me, and it was over in a flash. I remember that Breaking Bad also had a bit of a build-up for me, sure the first ep of BB was hooking me in all kinds of places, but after that it still wasn't warm enough for round one. I hope BCS will deliver, same as BB did. Time will tell.[/sp]

[sp]wait wat, that was him? so the guy that goes find Saul in the last minutes of ep2 was also the guy that gets beaten to death by Tuco at the end of se1?[/sp]
I don't get the hate for TWD. The newest episode wasn't the best in the series, but it wasn't the garbage pile people are making it out to be. The repeated imagery was like an aesthetic forshadowing tool, and [sp]Tyrese's hallucinations were a cool tool to re-cap elements from earlier in the series.[/sp]
People keep saying that the quality is on a constant decline, but I feel like Season 5 has been the best so far.

Yeah, Season 5 is easily the best season so far. The Season 5 premiere was the best episode of the series, I thought. The following two episodes were also pretty damn good. It slowed down a good bit from that point on, but it's still pretty good.
My main complaint with this latest episode is not very much happened, and it's getting kind of old seeing [sp]main characters dying off because they let their guard down[/sp], it seems like they'd learn by now. Also, the amount of ads was kind of ridiculous. The first commercial break was one fucking minute after the episode began.

The other guy. Where Tuco stops and says "Stop interrupting me"

Okay. Nice attitude though...

No, that was the third person who's completely new afaik.
No, that was the third person who's completely new afaik.
Yeah that was Nacho. [sp]Tuco has three main colleagues in Better Call Saul, but only two in Breaking Bad. I can only assume that something bad's going to happen to Nacho at some point in the future.[/sp]

50% decrease in viewers. If you're still reading this thread.

Not the day after! It was up at 7 on Monday morning which was about 3 hours after it aired in the US. Pretty impressive.
I love the follow breaking bad has in the UK despite the fact it has never aired here, and wasn't even available on Netflix till the last season or two..

Blame it on the people who didn't know that it was on the following night. Next week's ratings will be through the roof, if people understand it's on Mondays and not Sundays after Walking Dead.

Sigh
Brits win again

I would blame it more on the fact that it came after a big show, so viewers leaked over. As well as the first show not being as exciting as what I've heard the second episode was like.
A bunch of people told me that they would have been better to do a 2 hour premiere instead of a two night premiere because the second episode got the show going.
All through out the walking dead, saul, and talking dead they had commercials saying it was a two night event so I really don't thing that large of an audience will have missed that information.
The viewer count may increase, but I don't see it increasing higher than around 4 million viewers.
Bearing in mind Breaking Bad didn't so much as reach 3m in the ratings until Season Five, Part 2.
It would have been unfair to assume BCS would somehow automatically continue BB's ratings explosion. The premiere was only second to Felina IIRC.
Beside ratings, which ever show between the two being more enjoyable is solely up to each individual. I found Better Call Saul boring, I've never seen Breaking Bad so I don't have the story of Saul or any of the characters that are appearing on this series.
I've watched TWD from the beginning and I enjoyed the episode, more so because of who was there, over what happened. I would say TWD was better, because I felt more entertained. Which is my opinion, it seems like a lot of people enjoyed both TWD and Saul.
Case and point on varying opinions.
case in point*
yours just happens to be poorly thought out
Breaking Bad is obviously head and shoulders better, but I think people focus far too much on the negative side of Walking Dead without looking at the positive aspects.
how do you know BB is better than BCS after like two episodes
BB was amazing don't get me wrong, but it's hard to judge a show after a couple episodes
Breaking Bad was awesome, and it looks like Better Call Saul is going to be awesome as well. Those first two episodes were promising. You can tell there's just so much shit waiting to go wrong.
Tuco's abuelita is going to be so pissed with him when she finds out he didn't use soda on the salsa stain.

Calling it; season 1 cliffhanger for sure. Goddamn Gilligan!

In an "About the characters" extra clip on the AMC website in the Better Call Saul Section it is plainly stated that [sp]Charles is Jimmy's brother and he has developed a rare condition that prevents him from leaving his home.[/sp]
