Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo in Theaters 2014 - Polidicks

I just can't see why someone would like the movies more than the original. So many things are tossed out and so little 'great' things are put in to replace them. I also want to mention that Shikinami is nowhere in the same league as Soryu in terms of character. But then again, almost none of the Rebuild versions of the characters are as good as the original. And yeah, Retake was also pretty mediocre if not bad.

yo what's with that one pink girl they added in rebuild 2 [sp]she just appears in the start of 2 and fights a thing, parachutes on the roof and speaks in really horribly dubbed english and disappears, fights that armored angel before shinji fucks up everything, and then suddenly 14 years in the future she's friends with asuka?????? i swear to god i don't recall any characters other than asuka even acknowledging her existence, and even then it's just an aside like "hey shoot shinji and his gay alien boyfriend for me". and she like doesn't do anything besides say really dumb cringy bullshit, like "haha meow im shooting you unit 00" or "wow this plug suit fits my boobs real good *obligatory zoom*" [/sp] like, i watched all of the rebuilds and she felt so out of place, like she was just added for fanservice. i mean it wouldn't surprise me considering that the rebuilds are basically just super mega fanservice. i think she's NGE's equivalent of a sonic OC [editline]3rd December 2013[/editline] honestly i thought some of you anime guys were joking around when you said rebuild 3 was garbage, and now that i've watched it i kind of agree. i mean, the animation was all pretty and shit, but there weren't many fights and it just bored me to death.

I don't get Evangelion. Mate got the first rebuild on blu-ray and we watched it together, it was honestly one of the most boring things I've ever seen. Depressed kid with a triangle for a head and a cunt of a father is depressed, so he moves in with this drunk chick. Then there's some mecha stuff, depressed kid meets emotionless girl, a bit more mecha stuff, the end, movie over.

He was pretty good at it too. They were able to gain techniques due to it's low budget.

She doesn't even get anywhere near as much character development as much as Asuka or Shinji.

While evangelion could objectively be a decent series/film for most people, I personally couldn't take the main character. Shinji is practically the most whiny MC I've ever encountered and just watching him makes me want to rip my hair off and scream out loud. No offense to the fans of the stuff.

I'm a big fan of the series, and I thought the first two rebuild movies were pretty good. The third, however, sucks major ass. It is not worth watching.
