I'm just glad he didn't have a gun. [editline]15th December 2012[/editline] You need to get a license, go through training, and be on a waiting list to get an air gun, the most lethal gun most civilians can own. Coincidentally (consequently?) they have almost nonexistant gun homicide rates; 11 in 2008, or less than .1 out of 100,000 people
Do you realize how hard it is to get guns into an island country?
Do you realize how hard it is to get guns into an island country?
Australians do a good job of it.
Do you realize how hard it is to get guns into an island country?
Importing is a simple matter of logistics, the real reason guns are so rare in Japan is because of the process to get a firearm to begin with, as well as the culture of Japan which places far more emphasis on bureaucracy. It is also generally a peaceful country. http://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2012/07/a-land-without-guns-how-japan-has-virtually-eliminated-shooting-deaths/260189/
