Ooohh, isn't MIT in that general area? That would be so cool exploring the Fallout version of MIT.
All these post apocalyptic games are set in America. What about the rest of the world? Hell they talk on and on about how America annexed Canada, but we never get to see what it's actually like there.
I was always quite disappointed there was never a male version of this.

visually stunning, it's like an orgy for the eyes
the next Crysis
I disliked skyrim because it was just as repetitive as the other games. I don't hate it by any means, but beforehand Bethesda advertised the game as if the world was painstakingly handcrafted (tons of new level designers for dungeons) and that the player's actions had some sort of consequence (talking about generating quests based on how you play the game), and the people would be more alive (70 different voice actors). Yet in the games there are still 2 or 3 main types of dungeons that are all linear and pretty much look the same, you constantly walk by people with the same VAs, and the generated quests aren't even as fleshed out as daggerfall's were.
Honestly I wasn't happy with the removal of creating your character's class and having actual disadvantages, but I was hoping how different it would be would have made up for it. Instead it turned out to have pretty much the same issues but with worse writing then the previous games, which with the simplified gameplay made it not last nearly as long as the other games for me.
Oh yeah, and the combat was still pretty shit. It looks nicer, but it's still just as much mashing buttons as the other games, tactics are pretty much non existent.
Perhaps because you're opinion is not fact?
You are opinion?
LOL
PLEASE be joking
did you actually play the game or are you just making shit up? because that's a lie. Even if dungeons can get repetitive, they weren't all just auto generated out of random. That's bullshit, and you know it.
NPCs, Draugr, Skeletons, Ghosts, Hagravens, Falmer, Ash Spawn, Zombies.
Technically, those are all different enemies. Only they're exactly the same.
All anyone has to do is look at the bestiary in the wiki, most of the Skyrim enemies are animals. There really aren't that many things to fight in the game.
Most likely someone had a video and just showed it off to someone. Almost like off the record. And now all this is just blown out of proportion.

Oh no! A grammatical error on the Internet, I just point it out!

after New Vegas I don't even know if I can become excited knowing Obsidian won't be behind this
Why are y'all saying Skyrim was shit, exactly?
I couldn't handle the obnoxiously boring combat and broken stealth.
Good content, good scenery, maybe even atmosphere, lore, everything.
Core gameplay is simply a chore, tho.
Too similar to Washington D.C. (Fallout 3 is by far my least favorite). Wish they'd do something with San Francisco or something completely opposite from what they just did. Maybe in a couple games they could go back to Boston but I'd love to see a Fallout take place in Paris or London.
brilliant; let's start the game in boston and the brunt of the game is how you trek across apocalyptic america on your way to San Fransisco. that would kick too much ass.

fuck you talking about, co-op would be rad as hell
What's the point of showing it behind closed doors at E3 of all places? Are they focus testing the teaser or something?
This whole claim seems really dubious at best.
and I just had a brain hemorrhage
thank you
Alright, well I have a brain hemorrhage when people say New Vegas is better than 3. So there.
But seriously, the only thing New Vegas had going for it was that you could aim down the sights of weapons. That damage threshold thing made automatic weapons shit against most late game enemies, and the Ballistic Fist and Anti Material Rifle absolutely broke the game. In fact all you really needed was the Ballistic Fist and the game was over. The AM Rifle was just a bonus. Get that perk that lets you repair weapons with similar weapons and you would never be challenged by anything. I killed the Legendary Bloatfly with the AM Rifle and Ballisitic Fist, and punched out the entire Deathclaw Sanctuary and the Quarry. Having two weapons so vastly better than every other weapon is just ridiculous. The only cool weapon in the entire game, the calldown laser thing, glitched out on both my and my friend's games so we can't use it at all. The weapon that you find at the end of the Deathclaw cave (can't remember if it was actually called the Sanctuary in New Vegas as well) is absolute shit in it's own game, and especially when compared to the Vengeance from Fallout 3.
Weapon Modding was useless (AFAI remember you couldn't mod the Ballistic Fist anyway), there were way more invisible walls than in Fallout 3, and there was no armor to parallel the Winterized T51(Something close to that) Armor from 3. Maybe it's just a personal thing but I like not having to worry about my armor breaking, you don't have to argue that being a bad thing because I could see it going either way. They didn't fix the glitch where you could resell a weapon or piece of armor if the vendor had two at different levels of repair to the point where you could buy everything from every vendor and take all their caps, which was game-breaking in both games, and they made it worse with the addition of the Gun Runners, which were easier to find and exploit, and had way more caps/inventory than any single Vendor in Fallout 3.
There was no Dog Meat or Fawkes companions, personal favorites of my own, and there were no particularly memorable locations, like the Dunwich building or Anndale (the cannibal town) in Fallout 3. Oh yeah, and I even forgot about cooking until just now because of how pointless and useless it was.
And finally, as a question, did they ever put out an addon to finish the damn game? As I remember it, I sided with Mr. Happy, and at the end he said something like "I'm going to be different when I reboot" or some shit, and then you had to reload a save, like in 3 until they released... Broken Steel, I think.
I guess I should add this, in case I gave the wrong impression; despite thinking 3 was better I did think New Vegas was great in its own right, so please don't see this as me hating on New Vegas, just reasons why I like 3 better.
Ooohh, isn't MIT in that general area? That would be so cool exploring the Fallout version of MIT.
The Fallout version is "The Institute". They've been mentioned as having amazing technology, but we weren't told much about them.
fuck you talking about, co-op would be rad as hell
It would be goofy unless we got an immense RPG that let you literally create your character and story.

Obviously they'd do something to not break the story by having two of the main character.
so is anyone excited over fallout 4? everyones just complaining over skyrim
i liked new vegas more than fallout 3 but thats not to say i didnt like fallout 3, fallout 4 should be great. i just hope the engine gets quite a update
there's no such thing as a bad fallout game
There was no Dog Meat or Fawkes companions
so there were no companions that were emotionless, characterless cardboard cutouts? i'm sorry, but Obsidian likes to actually do a good job writing great characters and companions that feel human and have their own pasts and histories and stories
Anyone who says Fallout 3 was better than New Vegas is literally wrong. There is no opinion, it's like saying the sky is green instead of blue and then saying "Well thats my opinion"
New Vegas had:
A better main story.
Factions that mattered.
Reputations that mattered.
Expanded guns with mods.
More enemy variety.
Creative Vaults.
Companions that weren't cardboard cutouts with guns and 3 lines of dialogue.
Better DLC. (Broken Steel and Point Lookout were great though)
Better voice acting.
They at least TRIED to hide the invisible walls.
Better speech system, its possible to even go through the game without killing a single person if I remember.
Motherfucking Mr. House.
Hardcore Mode for the ballsy.
You can kill everyone, literally everyone in the entire game except one NPC and that's just so you can complete the main quest. Hes not even out in the open either.
Compare that to Fallout 3 and what it did better.
Environment/Atmosphere (even though in-lore it makes zero sense and is just supposed to appeal to the post-apoc boner people)
So yeah I'm not looking forward to Fallout 4 too much! Hopefully that Mad Max game will be what we truly need.

It'd be neat if it was like "alright, you two are in this world so go make something of yourselves... or not. Do whatever you feel like."

I just love how you tell me my opinion that 3 is better than NV is wrong because it's an opinion and then go on and say NV is better because in your opinion it's a better story and in your opinion there's creative vaults and in your opinion there's better DLC/VO/Speech
I happen to like 3 more than NV. My reasoning behind that is that I honestly enjoy the green seaweed colored destroyed DC over the orange-jam smeared desert that is Las Vegas. If you like NV more than 3 I can understand. Shut the fuck up with your stupid opinions that you preach as fact.
You can rate me dumb but I really don't give a shit. You have your opinion; I have mine.
