I hate it so much when people call President Obama "Mr. Obama" just because he's in the other party.

oh god somebody make politics stop
you see america is like a sandwich and you have some pickles. the pickles are government but they can make the bread soggy if there's too much of it and the bread is the fabric of society so you don't want too many pickles.
now bacon is our american patriotism, tomatoe is america's blood and honour, and lettuce is its crunchy values, but when you put obamaloney on it you ruin the texture of america. it's just gross, vote Romney 2012

All I can think of is Dennis Moore.
I don't understand how stealing less from the rich is stealing more from the poor. Taxes as a whole are theft, at least Romney is moving in the right direction by lowering someone's taxes. Obama wants both the rich and the poor to start paying more.
[editline]7th August 2012[/editline]
And on that note why does Obama acknowledge that taxing the poor is theft but thinks that taxing the rich is totally 100% ok and justified?
Romney's plan is raising taxes on the poor and lowering it on the rich so Romney and his country owning friends can have some fun shooting at paintings without worrying about having to give away money.
Obama wants to end the bush taxcuts for the rich and instead extend it for the middle class.

Are you sure you aren't thinking of Thailand?
Then how does it work? Why do you think my money is not my money?
Ok, without taxes, where would your social security be, and you know the postal service, that would be gone without taxes, taxes are not theft, taxes is just what you need to pay to live in a country, think of it like rent, you don't pay your rent, you get evicted and the landlord cannot maintain the building.
Taxes as a whole are theft
Oh boy here we go because it's not like you're being charged for living in a nation's country or anything, it's your country and everyone else can get fucked right
Dammit ButtsexV3, turn your brain on, or atleast don't sleep during high-school.
Are you sure you aren't thinking of Thailand?
How come you know so much about where one can find child labor and cheap transsexual underage prostitutes??
how about this, provide something meaningful to debates for once
a perfect system is impossible and we've known this since we figured out how to throw rocks. Countries like Switzerland have gotten away with obscenely low tax rates (and a higher standard of living than the United States) for years, while countries like Senegal, Taiwan, and China all have relatively poor standards of living yet have some of the highest taxes in the world
besides that, it's income tax I'm opposed to, gas taxes pay for roads, police, and fire departments; and emergency medical services could easily be delegated to the private sector
The fact that privatized US health care is twice as expensive and only equal to - or a lot of the time worse - universal health care just goes to show that some stuff simply shouldn't be run by the private sector.
Look at this flow chart I made:
Universal health care:
You -> State (no profit) -> done
Privatized health care:
You -> (optional) Insurance company (profit) -> Private Hospital (profit) -> done
Repeat with other stuff. The state doesn't need to make a profit, they just need to have at least a zero base line. Private hospitals need to make a profit, and so does the insurance company. At the same time, the treatment itself isn't any cheaper - thus you just take the the basecost of something and add the profit that the two companies need to make. It's going to be more expensive, that's how it is.
Calling the President, Mr. Is just disrespectful and unprofessional.

How so? President of a country is still just a man, like any of us.
I can't understand why some people in the US don't see how Romney looks and talks like the out-of-the-book rich villain in every cartoon there ever existed.

And I also highly suggest everyone checking out the tax calculator on Obama's website. http://www.barackobama.com/tax-calculator/
It's basically Obama's tax plan, vs a formulated version of what Romney is promising. (It was formulated my a non partisan group, so don't worry about bias kids). The only time Romney saves more money for the tax payer is when your yearly income is over 500 grand.

Reminds me of when a priest demanded that I call him "Father *insert name*". Aside from the fact that that is bibically wrong and if God was real that would royally piss him off, I have only one father and he's no priest.
Way I see it, all men are equal. I will never place another man above/below another with a title. It would violate everything that I believe in.

Welcome to American Politics, everyone is right but nobody can agree.
social contract
The social contract is bullshit. It doesn't exist. No one signed it, no one agreed to the "terms and conditions", which are just made up as you go along. It's not real.
Ok, without taxes, where would your social security be,
My social security would be my own personal savings I've accumulated through life (if I wanted to, since this should be an individual decision, not a decision made for me by the government), like people did before that system was implemented
and you know the postal service, that would be gone without taxes,
and more efficient things like email, and private delivery services would take its place.
taxes are not theft, taxes is just what you need to pay to live in a country, think of it like rent, you don't pay your rent, you get evicted and the landlord cannot maintain the building.
Except with rent, it's contractual, and voluntary. You personally signed a contract which you are bound to, and even in that case, the landowner isn't using coercive force against you by asking you to leave his private property after you've violated the contract. In the case of government, there is no contract and it is not voluntary. If you don't pay your taxes, people acting on behalf of the government will soon be pointing guns at you, and you'll be locked in a cage. There is a distinct difference, one is contractual (rent) and the other is not, it's just extortion (tax). The government can't claim any rights over you or anything you own, and it has no justification for imposing a "social contract" on you as the price of participating in a society, interacting with other individuals. Neither the government nor society even exists in any real sense, and therefore have no justified claim to ownership of anything (individuals do, however).
Guys, I'm saying this before anyone starts, don't argue with noble. You won't accomplish anything, he's denser than a block of plutonium.
