Yes, because honest discussion is such an assholish thing to do. You are the only one contributing nothing.
By all means please contribute to a museum filled with hairy sphincters
Here's a question for you: If the intent of the artist is irrelevant when judging whether at is good or bad then how can we define whether an artist is a good or bad artist? Or can we at all?
you can sorta judge for yourself. say "hey this picture doesn't resonate with me". it's fine to not like a piece of art. however, it's silly to say that any creative piece is "bad" in any objective fashion because other people are bound to like it.
that's why i don't like art critics much, i don't like music critics much, and i can only sorta tolerate game critics.

So the pursuit to become a better artist is a useless one then because the act of creating art is inconsequential to whether the art is good or bad. An artist CANNOT objectively say that they have become a 'better' artist because there is no such thing as 'better' art.

no the pursuit to become a better artist is a completely personal pursuit.
and becoming what you think is a "better artist" may end up pissing people off. going back to my folk-punk example, johnny hobo and the freight trains was a very depressed, angry, and nihilistic project with a lot of talk of drug use. nowadays the creator of johnny hobo, pat the bunny, went on to create ramshackle glory which is a lot more optimistic and political. some might think the new ramshackle glory is a betrayal of the old johnny hobo stuff and that pat suffered as an artist because of it. some might think the opposite.
in the end the artist is free to pursue whatever artistic endeavors they feel are worthwhile and the audience is allowed to like, hate, or be indifferent to whatever work the artist puts out.
that's the beauty of art. the meaning of the art to you might be different than the meaning of the creator, but even through that dissonance both the audience and creator are able to express themselves in the art.
Well I guess this is the best place to see what Uranus would looked like up close
For fucks sake isn't there a point where shit like this stops being art
How on earth can anyone look at this stuff without feeling uncomfortable?
Congratulations you have reached the point
Why does this make people uncomfortable? It's a part of the body that everyone has. That's why it's interesting.

Because it looks ugly? I mean it's literally a hole in which waste comes out of.

Well dude aint gotten past the Kitsch of it yet.
From the looks of them I reckon not a lot of young people stood model, and a lot of them were male. Guys more often than girls don't care about removing body hair and especially not in hard to reach areas, which is also true of older people that don't expect to get a lot of action down there. I also can't spot a single outie (which with age usually becomes innies), and the thick black body hair is not something commonly prevalent on women or young men.
There are indeed a lot of pretty assholes in the world, but my expert opinion as an anal fetishist says these are not any prime examples of such.
If you have the degree, you can shit on a canvas and call it art.
And art it will be.
You don't even need a degree, call it art and get the approval of others and it's art.
"Art" has no specific example to define what it is. "Art" is what the beholder perceives it to be.
So yeah.
This isn't art.

Art is in the ass of the beholder?
