I only really eat pork sausages central Europe and America are fucked though owned
IMO this won't be as bad for the US. Our industry is set up to be prepared for this because they're used to it. (Also, fun fact, the dip in 09 after it looked like it was about to recover was from "Swine" flu) I think we'll see a drop in the number of pigs shipped, but only by a couple of thousand/day, which would really be negligible compared to how many we ship anyway. Also, hog shipments are higher than last year. I am concerned about the falling prices compared to last year though, and the whole drought thing.
Turkey sausage :3
Don't diss the good turkey bacon. I've found a lot of shitty turkey bacon, but I have also found amazing, fucking awesome tasting turkey bacon as well. I found it at Cost-co even, and dear god sirs, as a bacon lover, I was not disappointed.
Its the aporkalypse. I will kill for my bacon rations.
I had a BLT for dinner tonight. I will always cherish the bacony flavor in my heart.

Usually meat products that are made with alternative meats (turkey bacon, etc) are good when done properly, and the people who buy it and say it's shit usually bought the crap and expected it to be just as good as the mid-price bacon they're used to getting or whatever.
-im late, ignore me-
I have solved the crisis: now everyone can go back to figuring out what doesn't cause cancer
I live in a country that literally exports pork to most parts of the world, so I'm good.

Hmmm, well, I guess the solution is to ensure better crops with hydroponics to increase the amount of feed for the pigs. Or alternatively, we could feed the things on leftovers like we did back in the day; surely there's still plenty of food being wasted. Stuff that's not good enough for approvedfood.com could be shipped to the pigs. Or we could increase our research into vat-grown meat so we can one day have cheap tasty vat-grown pork. Regardless, we need a solution to the pork shortage. Though in truth I don't think Jewish folks would be all that fazed by a pork shortage.
or you could just eat less pork
or you could just eat less pork
Tell that to my bacon loving tastebuds.
well maybe instead of eating gross greasy things you can eat food that normal healthy people eat like stuff that's green and has cold liquid in it then maybe also your skin wouldn't be greasy
wonder how much this will affect the price of bacon, it's already costing me like £4 to cure a hangover in bacon [editline]25th September 2012[/editline]
Hmmm, well, I guess the solution is to ensure better crops with hydroponics to increase the amount of feed for the pigs. We don't eat that much pork in Italy I've actually had bacon only once in my life, other than that I've had sausages, sometimes
I live in a country that literally exports pork to most parts of the world, so I'm good.
Welp, I know which country the US is going liberate next.
Welp, I know which country the US is going liberate next.
That'll be like sticking their metaphorical dick into a paper shredder. Don't fuck with vikings when it comes to bacon.
I don't get it, why are farmers cutting pig herds if pork costs are rising? Surely they would farm more pigs if the cost of pork is increasing?
I don't get it, why are farmers cutting pig herds if pork costs are rising? Surely they would farm more pigs if the cost of pork is increasing?
because consumers are less likely to buy pork if it gets more expensive.
No... Thank... You.
Don't knock it until you've tried it. It's so spicy and covered in grease. Throw it on a roll with a tattie scone and ridiculous amounts of brown sauce and you're sorted.
I love bacon as much as the next man, but at least this will encourage more people to eat the king of all breakfast dishes. Haggis.
Why have I never done this.
Why have I never done this.
It's actually amazing. It's pretty good with bacon as well, but it stand up well on its own.
It's actually amazing. It's pretty good with bacon as well, but it stand up well on its own.
Ever had it on Pizza? Drool.
Oh god yuck, that's all salt in the middle.
tacbac has a shelf life of years, how do you think theyre gonna preserve that?
Ever had it on Pizza? Drool.
Good man. I'm a haggis supper connoisseur.
