Not in America. Now, these AKs are probably the semi-auto variants imported after the BATF ban on assault weapons. But, you can pay $200 USD, get a license that you keep for life (unless you do something to get it revoked), and you can buy an automatic weapon that was imported before the ban. Anyways, I like the idea. Show those anti-gun nuts whatfor. AK-47s are great target shooting and home defense weapons.

How? Haven't legally been able to try anything more than a bolt action, but its piss easy to operate. Shooting accurately is hard, but its juts put a bullet in, bolt forward then down, point, shoot, bolt up and back.

Supply and demand.
There are very few in the United States and a decent amount of demand. The number in existence is currently fixed or very slowly declining and kept that way through restrictions on importation and production.
