What else could it possibly mean other than it being harder to get the goals he wants than he thought it would be?
when he explicitly says it's more work than what he expected and what he had before and not because the dumbocrats are making his job hard [editline]28th April 2017[/editline] even without the "political morass of washington" being president is going to be hard because there's more to it than pushing party line legislation but if every american knew that then he wouldn't be president
There's an odd sort of quirk about Tinyhands. He's often praised for things like 'speaking his mind' and 'saying what he means', and yet one of the most common themes I see in discussions relating to him is people explaining what he really meant by this or that
Donald doesn't know how to function without his cozy world of asspats and being the boss at the top. Maybe he shouldn't have applied for a job with >320 million bosses to be responsible to.
If it's that hard, then maybe he should look for the resignation papers
It's funny how the words you use totally change how people react to it. Both of these statements are essentially expressing the same position, but one of them would be applauded while the other is mocked: For example, if he had said, "You know, it's much more difficult than I thought it would be. The political morass of Washington sometimes feels like a wall in front of forward progress." or: "This is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier."

More than five months after his victory and two days shy of the 100-day mark of his presidency, the election is still on Trump's mind. Midway through a discussion about Chinese President Xi Jinping, the president paused to hand out copies of what he said were the latest figures from the 2016 electoral map.
Can you put that into different language as well? "the political morass of trump sometimes feels like a wall in front of intelligent discourse"
Says the guys who has taken like, the most vacations ever
Midway through a discussion about Chinese President Xi Jinping, the president paused to hand out copies of what he said were the latest figures from the 2016 electoral map.
Maybe it's just me, but this is honestly the most mind-boggling part to me. He continues to have to validate himself and repeatedly remind people "Hey, guys, I WON". Absolutely pathetic. And if he's having such a difficult time, then maybe, just maybe, it's time to step down. For real. I'm not talking about "I want him to step down", I'm talking he is pretty much admitting he can't handle this job and is unfit.
I'm going to be so upset if I die in the next 10-15 years, before I get to see how we all look back on the Trump presidency and just wonder how the fuck this was our lives for four fucking years. I remember listening to stand-up comedy about George W. Bush and thinking how incredible it was that we had a president who was so comically ridiculous, Trump is like Bush on PCP for christ sakes.

Don't ascribe context and meaning that weren't actually there just to soften the blows of the shit this fool says.

I used to look back on the crazier historical periods with a "Christ almighty, did nobody realize how insane this was?", but now I think I have my answer
I don't get your problem. I'm not defending Trump. I'm just saying it's amazing how big of an effect the way you say something can have. He said something that pretty much every president says, but in a way that made him seem pathetic. If anything, it's a critique of Trump.
I don't think Trump is aware that words and how you communicate your ideas matter as president.
He should just resign
it's inevitable.
it's inevitable.
I wouldn't say so. He has an image and a massive ego to maintain. To back down as President of the United States would be a huge blow to both. I often say that very much doubt he'll last all four years, but if that's true, it's not going to be by his own doing. It'll either be impeachment, or every Republican taking back their support for him.
It's funny how the words you use totally change how people react to it. I thought it would be easier."
No. It really doesn't matter pal. Play this however you want, but he said "I thought it would be easier". No matter how that sentiment is expressed, it's one a person who doesn't consider the role of president to be difficult due to their own ignorance.
He just doesn't look like he has the stamina to be president, he's frail.
He just doesn't look like he has the stamina to be president, he's frail.
But he said he had the stamina!
What kind of message does it send when your president says he thought being president would be easier. Jesus this is going to be an embarrassing moment in American history.
I think it's genuinely accurate to say that people will look back on this and laugh. I imagine Trump will go down in history like one of those whimsical historical events that are so dumb you can't actually imagine them happening.
Doesn't it give you perspective, though? I used to look back on the crazier historical periods with a "Christ almighty, did nobody realize how insane this was?", but now I think I have my answer
Yeah definitely! I feel the same way, it's like when you read about crazy shit in the 1800's on a Snapple cap, like "President So-and-So once rode into the capitol building on a mule and shot his nemesis" or something and think "were people just.. cool with that stuff?" lol. As a 20-something year old man the Trump presidency is probably the first major major historical event I'm fully conscious for.
no sympathy for the clown. know what you're getting into before you run for office dumb fuck.

I'm kinda surprised he didn't seem to notice that looking at before and after pics of presidents terms it's like a lich cast a life drain spell on them, hahaha.
Even I'm aware that being President is probably the hardest and most stressful job in the country. I think if you took his vacations away from him and he couldn't do it all from the comfort of mar-a-lago he'd actually resign the same day. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if he ends up resigning anyway.
It's kinda sad how much shit he gave Obama for "doing nothing" when he's already worn out and hasn't done anything other than cutting funding to this or that [editline]28th April 2017[/editline] Sad for Obama, I mean. love him or hate him, he wasn't a quitter or a whiner
I think it's genuinely accurate to say that people will look back on this and laugh.
no sympathy for the clown. know what you're getting into before you run for office dumb fuck.
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/monkey_trap Trump is in a monkey trap of his own making.
Christ, this whole thing sounds like an Onion article especially the bit about the electoral map.
You guys are like fucking piranha, swimming in a political fish tank and obliterating any shred of a Trump news article that floats your way. For those of you that are blathering about how he should step down, that would mean Pence would become president, and we definitely don't want that.

Trump is already doing everything Pence has on his agenda anyway, but on top of that he's also irreparably damaging delicate international diplomatic relationships. If we're already getting the worst of Trump and Pence, then knocking Trump off the stage is nothing but a positive.

Not once in over a year and a half.
