so about them videos... What does she plan to do differently now that she has way more funds than expected? Lots of advertising? Some promotional? More videos than expected?
All of the above, I think.
he's the one who keeps spiking their drinks
statistically speaking, there's an 85% chance I might have taken the 1 in 5 thing from actual female rape statistics and translated it into a world in which drugging people is the most common way for someone to commit rape also, fuck you. :v:
so about them videos... What does she plan to do differently now that she has way more funds than expected? Lots of advertising? Some promotional? More videos than expected?
She was originally going to do five, now she's doing eleven.

Why does she need $160k to make 12 videos.
Yeah except the idea that "men can't be raped" is still a result of misogyny. The man is seen as powerful and dominant, whereas the woman is seen as weak and subservient. She's exploiting misogyny to garner sympathy and protection.
The image that men can't be raped (not that my uncle was raped) hasn't got anything to do with hatred of women. That stems from the fact that men are physically stronger, and are supposed to be stronger than women - these are stereotypes that both men and women have, and as such this image doesn't stem from misogyny. The FACT that it's mostly women getting raped by men is a result of misogyny and the fact that men are stronger, and therefore more likely to go through with rape. You could argue that misogyny makes it easier for the woman to get away with her claims, but I think that the old stereotypical image of both men and women contributes more.

For as to the strength of body, the weakest has strength enough to kill the strongest, either by secret machination or by confederacy with others that are in the same danger with himself. And as to the faculties of the mind, setting aside the arts grounded upon words, and especially that skill of proceeding upon general and infallible rules, called science, which very few have and but in few things, as being not a native faculty born with us, nor attained, as prudence, while we look after somewhat else, I find yet a greater equality amongst men than that of strength. For prudence is but experience, which equal time equally bestows on all men in those things they equally apply themselves unto.

Why does she need $160k to make 12 videos.
Who says she's going to spend it all? Who says she will or will not keep any remaining money after filming or donate said money to a charity or something? It's too early to tell, although I wish she could have been a little more specific about her plans concerning the money...
I hope she puts at least some of it to another charity, there's no way she can spend all of that on making videos.
She's using state of the art CGI.
1 in 5 is not a hard statistic. This, of course, is also not counting for people who legitimately were raped and didn't go to court, or the people who were accused of rape and were convicted even when they legitimately did not. It's just one of those things that's impossible to get hard numbers on.

Blowing this out of proportion aren't we destructoid? It's not like half of newground's submissions are built to be offensive or anything.
men aren't that much stronger and while that argument may have made sense a few thousand years ago it doesn't really nowadays now that we have more advanced tools, weapons and drugs. if a woman really wanted to rape a man it's not as though she'd say "huh I'm physically weaker than him, guess i'd better go home" Hobbes said it best:
I'm talking about the image that society have of the raping of men, not whether strength still is a factor in rape. Society sees rape as a very physical act (which it of course is), but there's some gray zones (where people feel coerced (not in a physical way necessarily) to have sex with a person) and of course the matters of modern rape methods that people don't take into account. This adds to the image that men "can't be raped", and my point was that this is not fuelled by misogyny (as the guy suggested), but rather stereotypes and the way people think of rape [as a physical act].
But racism and the status of women in society are still pretty big issues, which IMO prove my point that people are hardwired for this behaviour, and simply changing a law or introducing new "society rules" is not the way to deal with these issues.
True, it won't remove them entirely, but it'll lessen them. After the end of slavery, most blacks used to have lesser rights than dogs, but look at where we are now. Small progression is always greater than no progression.
Hopefully she'll use the rest of the money to leave the country. Or donate to something that is actually an issue right now, such as cancer research.

The total amount of hours for HIS top 10 games is 1621.6 hours. So you might want to try a different argument there, dude.
"wow how dare she puts money forth to an cause that she advocates for good reasons shes clearly stated!!!!!!!! damn evil feminazis"
Sexism in general is an issue, but she's nitpicking every little detail in a game that has a girl in it, trying to find sexism that's not there. Well I traded tf2 items for some of those games but ok
