Disgusting net event of the Month: Flash Game Makes Players Beat Up "Tropes vs. Women" Creator - Polidicks

It probably has been said already on the 13 pages but if they disagree with her they should try argue with her instead of resorting to childish acts like this that only prove her point and show the male gaming community in a bad light.

My view might be somewhat biased, as I think Tropes vs. Women is just plain ridiculous, but a shitty flash game where you add bruises and cuts to a jpeg of a woman's face is not that big of a deal.

It's really unfortunate that disliking the video's she's making basically throws you into a group like this... It's not that I disagree that sexism is a problem in the video game industry, or that I even think some of the points she's making aren't valid - it's just that she seems to already have all the consoles/games/equipment she's going to need to make the videos. I mean it honestly just seems like she's trying to profit off of a serious issue. I think that if done right this could have been a really good thing, but all this is going to do is re-state things we already know

The reason people think it's a scam is because if she simply wanted to profit from her work, she could sign up for youtube's profit sharing program. The only reason I can think of that she wouldn't just do that is because she knew the videos wouldn't be of good enough quality to garner much interest. So basically the only reason to start a kickstarter in the first place would be to rip people off, no matter how much money she was asking for. Making a flash game where you beat her up for that is immature and dumb, but not necessarily sexist. I'm unsure about some of his comments, on the other hand.

If something can be made, someone will eventually make it. Aside from for example the section of toilet humor, there's a whole section for simulations of killing/torturing people you find annoying or hate. So I don't see it as neither a big surprise or anything really noteworthy that someone would eventually make this type of flash about her. It's a bit like rule #34 really. If someone becomes famous enough, someone will make a flash where they get killed/tortured.
