The more concerning thing I have with this is people against him are doing everything within their power to both make sure all potential employers never hire him ever again, trying to make him go to jail ("so he can be raped"), and sending him and his family death threats. They claim it's justified because they're defending an empowered woman against a white male.

I think that she could fund a few game development companies (specifically their writers/character designers) to make games with better female characters, though I don't think it would work since 160k isn't a convincing amount of money. EDIT: Basically, try to support the cause in some way, not necessarily yourself.

What's with Facepunch's sudden feminist movement? I'm not saying it's wrong, but literally almost over night a few weeks back Facepunch went from people who couldn't give a shit about video game contents, to white knighting against any form of even slight sexism, flinging the term "Misogyny" around constantly like candy, most of the time in debates that had nothing to do with sexism or video games. I can't be the only one who is annoyed as fuck seeing the word twenty times on every page that even mentions women slightly.

Honestly, I don't think we really need the videos. As people have said, they'll mostly be watched by people who already agree with them. However, this whole backlash has shown that we need some discussion about misogyny in video games and gamer culture. It's probably the largest single sign recently. She didn't need 6,000$ to make these videos, but people gladly gave her 160,000$ for them, of their own free will. They know what they're giving their money for, you can't claim that she's "scamming" them. It would be nice if she did somewhat different videos on the topic, since I don't think videos on [del]"Man with Boobs" and "Mrs. Male Character"[/del] "Fighting Fuck Toy" and "Women as Reward" will be anywhere near as helpful as videos on "Why do these neckbeards think it's okay to harass women for speaking up or just playing games". I don't really care too much about what she's doing but this is definitely a little over the top The main reasons I think it's a pretty useless fund is that a) It's primarily funded and will be watched by people who already agree b) She's complaining that women aren't portrayed realistically when a lot of those games are just supposed to be goofy and unrealistic anyways

Like I said before, she might as well just give all her money back, because the reactions of people to her video highlight misogyny way better than her documentary ever will.
