Because its not limiting if you don't need features like that. Hence it being a casual device.
So... the iPad, which is essentially a laptop replacement for most (some?) limits flash? Bullshit.
So... the iPad, which is essentially a laptop replacement for most (some?) limits flash? Bullshit.
I was talking more about the USB thing because you've been addressed about flash a ton of times but you don't seem to take it in. But you make it seem like no flash cripples the device when that isn't true at all. I use my iPad a lot, and I rarely come across the need for flash. Most popular sites either have an app or support the device via other methods. I can't see a casual user needing it if I don't. If they want games the app store is there loaded with em. If they want videos there's a YouTube app handy, and a ton of other html5 supported sites. And I don't know anyone who considers an iPad a laptop replacement.
Faze, you need to understand that your typical 16 year old girl doesn't give two shits if her phone has flash or not. Because probably the only thing she'd need flash for is for watching ray william johnson videos on youtube, and that's already covered with the Youtube app. What iOS and Windows Phone are about is user experience, something Android fails horribly at. After owning two android phones, can't be more happy with my Windows Phone.
And I don't know anyone who considers an iPad a laptop replacement.
Well in my case that's only half true. I use this thing constantly and Pages is a godsend when it means I don't need to lug the laptop bag. While the iPad won't replace my MacBookPro when it comes to video/photo editing it sure has taken center stage when it comes to web browsing, document making, and in some cases gamming.
So, how long until we can unlock and jailbreak IOS 5 phones?
Everyone who thinks Android autoruns flash hasn't used one.
So, how long until we can unlock and jailbreak IOS 5 phones?
Soon. The dev teams has been working on an untethered jb specifically for iOS5 for sometime now.
Soon. The dev teams has been working on an untethered jb specifically for iOS5 for sometime now.
This is excellent news.
Soon. The dev teams has been working on an untethered jb specifically for iOS5 for sometime now.
Cool. I'm a member of the android masterrace, but I've got some acquaintances that will probably be asking for help getting their iPhones to run on Tmobile and such. If you do that, are you still stuck with shitty, slow 2G data service?
Being able to jailbreak your phone doesn't make it unlockable. It depends on the phone and baseband version with the aids of Ultrasnow.
My send button is green now. I feel violated.
Not really. These are organised by application, and they can be shown on the lockscreen, which is pretty cool. I'd like to see Android do something like this.
New messages, Facebook updates, weather, stocks can be displayed on the lock screen, along with instant access to 4 applications from the lockscreen. This is known as Sense 3.0 from HTC.
pointless inversion!!!
I can't even update to iOS5. :( Errors, errors everywhere.
There are multiple apps that let you use it as a flash drive. Even without a jailbreak
But none which let you access those files from your iDevice without some kind of jailbreak.
New messages, Facebook updates, weather, stocks can be displayed on the lock screen, along with instant access to 4 applications from the lockscreen. This is known as Sense 3.0 from HTC.
Or just one of many custom lockscreens available from the android market.
But none which let you access those files from your iDevice without some kind of jailbreak.
What do you plan on doing with them anyway? There's literally no point for it. Anything that you could run can already be put on it.
What do you plan on doing with them anyway? There's literally no point for it. Also, emulator ROMS.
I can't even update to iOS5. :( Errors, errors everywhere.
That kept happening to me but I've got it working now.
How do I know if I have GSM or not? :v:
Why does it fucking matter if you have an Android phone or an iPhone? Jesus fucking christ, I'm sick of Apple fanboys and Android fanboys rambling on like little bitches about which device is the superior one. I have an iPhone and I have recommended HTC phones to my friends as much as I have recommended iPhones. It's fucking called TASTE and I didn't know we lived in the fucking Third Reich where you can't choose what you god damn like.

The main point, I think, being that the new iOS is merely an update, and doesn't really produce anything new.
Okay, installed it but iTunes and the iPhone now doesn't recognise my sim, so I can't activate it :suicide: I guess I will have to wait for a jailbreak so I can unlock it, sigh.. and my iPhone says it even supports Orange, T-Mobile, etc. Mine is Orange..
pointless inversion!!!
Maybe your accessibility settings got switched around - try pressing your home button three times.
Lol dont turn on the location option for the reminders app, its a colossal battery hog as the gps never turns off
Now I just wonder when the jailbreak will be available.
Maybe your accessibility settings got switched around - try pressing your home button three times.
i turned it on on purpose
Annoying that iPhones and iPods get weather in their notification centre, but iPad's don't due to the lack of a weather app.
Should I update my iPad 1 to 5.0? Kinda hesitating because my iPad has so little RAM... I'm still on 3.2.2, because there's a nice swap file hack that solved that problem for me.
