Aside from the myriad of other things wrong with this

a score or star rating system is way too simple for pretty much any purpose.

Think about games for example, a scoring system is used, even though games are way too complex and subjective to be reduced to a number.

People are much, much more complex and subjective.
With games you could use reviewer opinion to gauge your own, but a game experience is the same for each reviewer. People meet under very varying circumstances

and even more so, people aren't a product to be rated and compared.

I feel completely content using a star rating system though. It's all in its application, and it doesn't make sense it's application in Peeple.
