Have you gotten a confirmation email? It seems to have all gone through for me but no email (and now their site is dead).
Yeah same here, but we're in contract now so I'm not too worried (plus the money seems to have gone)
Did anyone who ordered from B&N get theirs canceled? A lot of people said they got theirs canceled but mine is still up and says expected ship date august 24th

Damn, still haven't gotten an email or anything from HP. I don't want to order from anywhere just in case hp sends them, but this is really a bother.
I work at Staples, and we only had 7 to begin with. We sold 4 to customers, held 2 for employees who wanted to buy them, and the last one (the display unit) got stolen yesterday.
I hope they don't cancel the order from Ncix, i sent the money through paypal, but it hasn't verified the payment.

Eh, I suppose I could
Craigslist has exploded with TouchPads with prices going from $100 to $300.
Just got a confirmation text and email, with a DHL tracking number. Deal of the fucking century IMO.
This is like when Bestbuy and the like accidentally lists some massive TV for 1/10 the price, except here they don't cancel it.
Hmm 16GB or 32GB...
Hmm 16GB or 32GB...
32 is twice the size for only $50 more, no reason to settle with 16 GB unless you just don't have enough.
I'm not sure if I should try to get this. Someone convince me.
Get one and sell it to me.
Get one and sell it to me.
I'll sell it to you for 500 USD.
fuck I would really like one of those
Just got order confirmation from Carphone Warehouse pending approval.
I'll sell it to you for 500 USD.
600!
I was running around all major retailers in Vancouver today, they were all sold out. At one of the Best Buy I went to, some guy walked out with the last one as I entered the building :argh:

Shit in my area every fucking retailer that sold HP touchpads was sold out by the morning. I got lucky and found one on ebay new for 120 and then got another one of off B&N for 115. I was up at like 1AM when someone posted that link to B&N, Went to sleep and got back on to see that the site sold out. If you find a site that sells these and is legit, you need to take the offer while you got it. These things are flying off the shelf's. What pisses me off we got a bunch of greedy bastards that buy 5 of them at a time in hopes to resell them for 200-300 dollars. I got two of them with no plans to resell, one for me and one to save as a nice Christmas gift to someone.
I'm glad I didn't go to sleep when that guy posted the B&N link, I purchased from there and it'll ship the day after tomorrow
Funny thing is it isn't much of a good deal at all, I can get a capacitive android 2.3 device for just under £100, the HP touch pad's Snapdragon CPU is a bit faster and it has plenty more memory (And that's not cheap itself) but I'd rather have android since there's more apps and games for it and all run fine under a Samsung Cortex A8 @ 1.2Ghz. It's still a good deal there are many other better things about the HP Touchpad but it's original price was way over what it must cost to manufacture, In fact they probably are making a profit from this price, not much though.
People are making android for it and I think its coming out this week
This device would be insane on Android, I heard 3.0 is being worked on but it depends if they can gain access to the Touchpads bootloader, devices which are pretty much open such as the ZTE Blade have Android 3.0 and that thing has a Simple 600Mhz CPU and it runs smooth on that. Oh and another thing, the price drop allows more people including experienced modders to have the device, another reason why ZTE Blade is upgraded so often and fast is because of how cheap it is while especially in terms of power.
Does anyone know where I can still get one?
