IMO they were too late to the game and that was their real problem.
Yeah, it's the app selection that killed them. I'd pay up to $300 before I'd settle for some other Android tablet that actually had apps. I still think a liquidation was unnecessary.

Hopefully since they're focusing on software, WebOS won't disappear.
No idea then. I ordered from there as well. This twitter explains some stuff.
I'd say check the credit card to check for a charge on it. Or there is an order history button to check to see if it registered.
Yeah, like I said in the earlier post the charge went through. But I haven't received a confirmation. Did you receive an email in your inbox after your order?
They said the website had a glitch where it wouldn't show that they were sold out. You might not get it.
Yeah, I put the order in before I read that, my worry is that they actually charged and I have no email anywhere confirming. I'm just going to email HP support and see what they say.
Honeycomb does not have that many apps either, and got into the market only a few months before the Touchpad.
HP could have done much better if they actually tried.

I didn't receive any form of confirmation of the order via email. I think HP will either refund us or tell us of the delay rather shortly.

Well that would be good I suppose. Kind of annoying after all that trouble just putting the order in though. :v:
If anyone else is still trying, I just hit up www.ncix.com, it had the touchpad up for it's usual 399$ price but it also has a pricematch feature so I linked it to bestbuy and it matched it for 99$, I just ordered 2 that way. Hopefully that helps a few people out!

Just got two this way. I used this as the url for price check
http://www.shopping.hp.com/store/product/product_detail/FB355UA%23ABA?
Is there any other way to price check other than the button?

Got any link that has the price for 99$, the Hp one is down

Here bro, http://h41112.www4.hp.com/promo/webos/us/en/shopping-touchpad.html
I used that link and it gave me the price match.

Thanks, but i guess they either removed the price match, or something, because now i when i delete, re add the touchpad, it doesn't have the price match.

"Price checking is only available to Canadian customers"
fucking Canadians taking all our deals.

I'm in the US and it worked for me

Oh really? That sucks because it worked earlier for US.

Lucky bastard...

Also, I like the disclaimer in NCIX.com's Customer Reviews box
We do not recommend you make purchasing decisions based on facts or opinions expressed in these reviews.
Just bought one, and i used the price match on the Canadian site, and used the US checkout.
wow hp finaly got the picture after they pulled out, people want an ipad thats CHEAPER than the ipad and frankly from what ive played around with, the webOS is just kickass, only thing that killed it was the 399 pricetag
hmm living near cleveland, with a boat in my backyard and canada only an hour across the lake lol..... too bad the boat has been out of the water for a few years

And the lack of apps. It honestly came at the wrong time. If it was a few months sooner, it could have come before the Xoom and become really popular.
Fire sale you say?
Went to Best Buy and an associate told me that they're going to sell the product tomorrow.
Pff.
What? The best buy is suppose to be shipping them back to HP (US bestbuy, not CA). That is pretty weird.
Went to Best Buy and an associate told me that they're going to sell the product tomorrow.

Same here, they said come tomorrow. *sigh* I was hoping for online.
The NCIX link says they are in stock, but clicking price match makes it say it's out of stock.
Yet you can still buy it for full price :pwn:
To people who want the touch pad:
I work at Radioshack, and we're selling them for 99/150 for the 16/32gb systems. Most stores only have them Direct to You (buy at store, free shipping to your home from warehouse) but there are some with them in stock. They're gonna go fast, especially with a lot of our employees wanting to buy them, but you've got a chance.
I'd give you skus, but I can't remember the numbers off the top of my head.
"Your estimated hold time is in excess of 1 hour"
Ffffffuuuuuck
I'm a bit late (sorry) but that wait time is bullshit. They gave me that the first time I called, (due to an unrelated issue I called a second time a minute later) the second time the time they gave me was 13 minutes, the operator picked up in 10.
Any news on europe?
Americans, Best Buy has instructed all stores about the $99 sale - if you go in and there is stock you will get one for this price.
I have this urge to go into Best Buy UK clutching HP's US price and see if they can do anything about it. I don't expect to get anywhere, but hey, I'll feel like a prat while doing it!
I would if I were you.
I want to line up right now but I'm not sure if they even have them, meaning I'd be waiting 3 hours outside.

Do it and report back. I would laugh if they did honour the US price.
