I am very sad. I don't get paid until Thursday :frown:
You'd think because I work for Radioshack I could just set one aside for myself but NOPE.
overdraft protection is there for a reason
(and i had to use it)

Pretty sure my bank rams me up the ass if I go over my available balance.
Oh well. I'd rather have an Android Honeycomb tablet anyway. Not too familiar with WebOS and while I've heard it's fantastic I don't like the idea of a device without android natively on it.
That being said I really wish I had a hundred dollars. At least on my credit card. But that's almost maxxed right now.
Mine is only a fee of $12.50 (i hope) I only had $95 in my bank and $50 cash I hope it covers it
I have $25 in my bank account and my card is around $530 / $600
Next paycheck will be pretty good though. Partial commission based. Lots of good sales.
But then it will be TOO LATE. Goddamnit.

Well, we don't know for sure what will happen. I wouldn't be surprised if other stores that were selling it at $400 later change it to $100. Worst case scenario, you could pick one up on ebay for a little markup.
Oh god someone please buy me a touchpad I will pay you back fuck I need it so bad.
[sp]Disclaimer: I do not really need it, I just really want it[/sp]
I just bought it. Lets see if they accept my order.

I was looking around on Amazon and I'm fucking dead serious there was one up for like $3,500
I'm a desktop PC only kind of guy and I have been using the Touchpad as my primary device for the past 48 hours and I've got to say I'm in love. Web browsing is extremely fast and smooth, as is the UI. And the way it does multitasking I think is much better than androids. Its a pity the OS isn't more open/developed for.

Multitasking is primarily dependant on the processor, not the OS. IIRC the Touchpad has a faster processor than any current Honeycomb devices.

It uses its own browser named 'web'
Glad to hear you guys were able to grab one. For those who would rather have the Android Honeycomb OS, Team Honeycomb are porting it to the HP TouchPad. They're hoping to release a build soon.

Okay that settles it.
Please god someone buy me one I will pay you back Thursday I am dead serious.
Check your banks site on overdrafting, if it's only like $10 fee just do it bro
It's $35
[editline]22nd August 2011[/editline]
Per transaction. And then I'd be completely without money for almost a week.
Reading more into it.
Also after 4 days I'm charged the overdraft fee again. So $70.

I see a 32 GB model selling for nearly five grand. Looks like a reasonable price.

Wait, $6.99 shipping? Fuck that.
Well it seems my bank can't tell me if I have overdraft protection on or off unless I call them...I hope it's on so B&N doesn't cancel my order or something
Wow my bank is kind of a dick.
If they decline to purchase the item for me and charge me the $35 overdraft fee, they'll decline the purchase... and then charge me a $35 attempted overdraft fee.
So i got one off of some ebay store for 120, and now I got one off of B&N. Good stuff.
just got my moms credit card, buying one from B&N, hope im not too late
[editline]22nd August 2011[/editline]
got it, I got the express shipping which was only 1 dollar more than standard
115$ for tax + shipping
Anyone know of any other retail or online store still selling these (that's available) in Canada? Jumped late on the ship.
Too bad they ran out, I wonder if I can go to a retail store and ask for price match for it :v:
God damnit, why can everyone but Europeans order one?!
Hmm, I'm going to have to pass. I still need to get a new laptop for school. Otherwise, I would seriously be looking into this sort of thing.

I know Best Buy isn't doing it, but maybe a smaller retailer would.
In any case, posting from my TouchPad just to show off. :smug:

Saw a commercial half an hour ago for the HP TouchPad at the new price of $399. Heh.
Still nowhere in the UK is listing it at sub-£300
