Don't get me wrong, violence is the last thing I want. We don't really know what will happen if Trump is impeached, this would be the first time in modern history such a thing had happened, to the best of my knowledge. Even Nixon had the grace to resign when he knew the battle was lost. Trump may not.
I agree that violence and uprisings as discussed in this thread is the last thing the US needs right now, but the way things are going, and if Trump really does end up being impeached, I simply don't think they can avoid it. Which would only further polarize the population, and by extension the cohesion of the states themselves, as well as the union of states. When the ball starts rolling, it picks up momentum fast.
And as mentioned;
I talked to my mom and she supports Trump 100% and thinks everything on TV is fake. Really ate that shit up. And when I was telling her about things that are absolutely true, with actual facts that she couldn't just say Fake News at, all she had to say was And? So?
"He's racist, So?"
Jesus
But what can you expect from someone who lives in the woods, without internet, and only has the 3 main news outlets for info
The more the GOP strangles the reach of technology and of information, de-funds schooling, crams hardline religion into politics, etc, the easier it is to pull the wool over people's eyes, and then we get shit like this. I don't think the GOP intended this, they dislike Trump, but they're not exactly far-sighted. All these people (lovingly referred to as Trumpers) needed to make themselves a quantity was a fixed point like Trump.
Trump becoming president was a lose-lose scenario, for both the country and the GOP. If the impeachment/treason charge actually happens, I don't think he'll be able to resign gracefully. In such a scenario, I at least hope he manages to drag the GOP, or the worst of it, down with him.
I'm sure that's exactly what Easy D was talking about
why wouldn't it be? via the current surveillance programs, the us government was spying on trump (and everyone else in the country) at that point in time
he's obviously spinning it, but he isn't wrong in saying he was being spied on by the obama administration, he was and so was everyone else in trump tower and new york city and america and most of the western world
If he did get impeached, how would people react? How would his supporters act? How would the more middling ones deal with this? How about the extremists?
I fear for the nation.
buy guns and ammo and run for the fucking hills

there would probably be violence but actual cohesive "uprisings" sound like a stretch. i imagine if impeachment is all it takes for you to start killing people you probably aren't the type to socialize much
there would probably be violence but actual cohesive "uprisings" sound like a stretch. i imagine if impeachment is all it takes for you to start killing people you probably aren't the type to socialize much
Well yeah, it's kinda hard to form a cohesive uprising when most of your supporters can't read or think critically. Same reason ICP fans haven't been picked up for gang activity, the scope of damage they can do is so minor it's not worth the trouble.
There is no denying he does have a lot of at least semi-literate supporters, given the reach he has on twitter and facebook, as well as all the written misinformation and actual fake news out there. Many of his supporters do use the net, which does help them organize, regardless of socializing. Don't forget word of mouth either.
Point is, I think they have a greater ability to organize than most give them credit for, case in point is the election. Not saying all those who voted for him will do anything, or that they're willing to resort to violence, many just fell for the con, but some percentage just might.
I suppose I should have written "attempted uprisings". Worst case scenario, I imagine larger scale Waco-style sieges, and relatively large attacks on gov buildings. I can't imagine they'll ever be successful, but very disruptive and destructive disproportionate to their numbers. There exists quite a few militias in the US, right? I don't think it'll only be Trump hardliners, but anti-gov people, militias and supremacists as well, for whom Trump is a uniting, common factor. They just need something to push them over the edge. Him getting impeached would confirm to them they were right in their views on Washington, which they'd probably extrapolate to "we're right about everything", given their mindset. And who's to say someone wouldn't pour oil on the fire?
Critical thinking doesn't matter, which means that if proof of Russian interference surfaces, it would likely be dismissed as fake, or the lack of "nuking Russia" is seen as weakness which must be removed. Critical thinking won't hinder them if they do manage to organize, they'll just delve deeper into extreme views. To them it wouldn't just be violence, but political.
ICP and Trump doesn't have comparable fanbases.
Fuck off you delusional, narcissistic, orange twit.
God damn embarrassment.
He's just using this conspiracy theory to deflect from the fact that his secretary general was involved with Russia classic trump deflecting.
Can't see a forest through the trees, Cant smell your own shit on your knees.
Sums up this echo chamber. The media has tried it's hardest too get the same lies repeated enough that people believe them. Trump is a orange troll, I agree, but there is a total and clear disconnect between what he says and does and the lengths the media will go to smear him.
If Americans want the democratic party, back in power, they have to be honest with themselves about their enemy, they have to be honest about their own people they want in power. You can't defeat Trump not being realistic about information.YOU GUYS LOST FFS be better than the republicans and stop with the fanatic bullshit. If your antifa, stop the violence you are being used.
Probably most of what you fear about him on MSM is true, but framed to make you think he is a robot cyber twitter orange hitler man.
the truth is, he is a genius. seriously look it up, hate him, but don't under-estimate him.Do so at your peril.
there are corrupt powers working against him. He has had two assassination attempts on his life before office, the democrats spying on him sounds dodgy but you have to consider that if a quarter of what he says is true, your chances of not living in a 1984 hell hole are slim and it will be your willingness for drama that will get and keep you there. Fuck bandwagons left, right, look at the MSM look at wikileaks.
Read you own posts and then go to any site you disagree with and see how you are doing what you hate them for. saying things about how any one who doesnt agree with you is wrong and has no good reason for believing and are insane. you dont know the counter arguments, clearly you guys don't mention them ever. You will lose the next election if you dont fight this properly for the right reasons.
and no I am not going to sit here and reply to all you a$$holes.I have seen how that goes, just say you disagree, is fine.
Just enjoy video games you useful idiots.

"Trump is an idiot but the media is spinning everything he says to make it seem bad instead of just idiotic, everyone here is an idiot for not discounting everything they say" is basically what I took from it.

What surprises me the most is that there are perfectly reasonable people that still support this psycho for whatever reason (an oxymoron I know, but I've seen it with my own two eyes). That's what really blows my mind.
Dude, not cool to use mentally ill as an insult.

I only find it funny that those who proclaim moral superiority have to poke and jab at every single thing he does. I thought Trump sounded like a madman but then I listen to his extreme detractors and it only makes me like him more. Good god, is this what they teach in American education? Im not saying it is different elsewhere but some people need to let the man get on with his job. Yes Sessions and Flynn are liars and should both be sacked for it but I don't believe taking a few diplomatic initiatives with Russia should be punished. Rooting out Russian spies should be undertaken but not with McCarthyism vigor but I guess people forget history.
The extreme left used to be the kind that cavorted with Russian interests and now they have turned a full 180 it seems to me in some kind of Mussolini inspired conversion. Democrats have long talked with Russians but now Republicans are doing it, it is suddenly bad?
And yes low hanging fruit are delicious and easy to pluck. I wouldn't do it otherwise.

How many more members of his inner circle need to break the law before you admit the whole administration is rotten to the core.
Also you might want to do something about your overall childish attitude, it isn't going to win you any friends.
Dude, not cool to use mentally ill as an insult.
I'm not using it as an insult by any means don't get me wrong.
I honestly feel that Trump has something going on in his head that disassociates him a bit from reality and what he says and thinks in his own little world. He's all over the place and offers no consistency in his beliefs and arguments other than saying whatever gets him on top of whatever it is he's trying to conquer at the time, regardless of whether or not it makes any sense or if he even believes in it at all. He's been this way for decades now and this is nothing new beyond the fact that he's now our president and we're forced to take all of this in at once and sadly accept it as the way things are going forward.
I thought Trump sounded like a madman but then I listen to his extreme detractors and it only makes me like him more.
