what do you think about using the words "fag", "faggot", and "gay" as insults. i would like your opinion on using them on gay people and straight people.
Oh I see, we're assuming I'm a blatant homophobe now. Well, I did mention a Southern church.
I haven't called anyone a "fag" or "faggot" in over a year, I believe. Perhaps when I got overexcited in TF2 on my favorite 24/7 arena_badlands server. I may have used "gay" as an insult, I suppose, which really is mean, and I guess I should stop. In the case of "gay", it has evolved to a point where it is used not out of hatred of gays, open hatred at least, but out of the fact that it's simply a commonplace insult in our society.
Just as "cunt" and "dick" and "bitch" and "bastard" have attained their current meanings as swears, without actually meaning "vagina", "penis", "female dog", "child born out-of-wedlock". It is still mean though, I suppose.
Civil Rights marches back in the 60's didn't have Black people dressed in overalls and have chains wrapped about their limbs or have buckets of chicken and watermelon in their hands. They just marched and at most they probably sang hymns on their way to Birmingham or D.C.
Singing in public? I shouldn't have to hear that. Those flamboyant blacks deserve every last bit of discrimination coming their way, I think.
sadly, no matter how evolved you may think the word gay is, it still attributes to homosexuals and turns their lifestyle into a joke/insult
and on this subject, what is your opinion on bitch being a sexist term?
In stark contrast to my feelings on "gay" "fag" and "faggot" I would probably laugh in the face of anyone who called "bitch" a sexist term.
Both men and women are called bitches all the time.

misrepresentation of my argument

call the fire department.
bitch isn't sexist because of who it's used on. it's sexist because it's definition is and will always remain "a female dog", not because it's using dog as an insult, but because it's using female as an insult, and insinuating that being a female is something negative.
Bitches ain't shit but hoes and tricks.
Something I like to do to amuse myself is imagine an annoying liberal who shouts "WOW YOU MUST HATE WOMEN" whenever he witnesses someone do one of the millions of things Facepunchers see as misogynist.
"Fucking Cindy just flipped me off, fucking bitch."
"WOW YOU MUST HATE WOMEN"
"Ew, gay porn. I'd much rather watch these two lesbians kissing-"
"WOW YOU MUST HATE WOMEN"
(fun fact: Zeke once told me that the fact that straight men liked lesbians and not gay men was as a result of misogyny)
i like you new guy. let's not use gendered insults ~together~
youre out of your fucking mind by the way
just saying
e:
oh not you sigma youre cool

whatever his point was i bet it was more cogently argued than "you're all just a bunch of annoying liberals with whom play silly strawman games in my head"
I'm lonely, won't someone constantly use gendered, misogynist insults with meee?

oh lol it was funny, his post was something along the lines of this, going from memory here
"Hey you know a lot of problems with the world today come about as a result of misogyny.
* A single mother is seen as less effective than two parents. Misogyny.
* Straight men like to watch lesbians and not gay men. Misogyny (somehow)."
And then he listed like 6 more reasons which were actually at least somewhat reasonable, but those are the two I remember because they were funny.
hey elec, say you were to befriend a female, shower her with gifts, pay attention to her, listen to her feelings, comfort her about all the rude jerks she dates
say you were to ask her out and she rejects you
man is she a heartless bitch or what
Well I'd probably be pretty pissed but I'd try to remain friends, and realize that there's more to choosing a partner than how many gifts he gave you.
oh also a straight male thinking lesbians are hot isn't necessarily misogynistic but it's fetishizing a culture and is basically as bad as being a "tranny hawk" (ughhhhHHH)
Well I suppose you're right. I don't know how many lesbians welcome the attention.
This is one case where I actually fail to do that which is considered misogynist by Facepunch, which is rare: I don't watch lesbian porn. Lesbians kissing doesn't really do it for me. Stick to feet and something else and I'm good.
did you just
say you jerk off to feet
Yeah, see, notice how I said "something else" right next to it? I left that particular fetish out because I figured you might take it a lot better if I just said "feet".
did you just

And to think he calls people in underwear weird!
Tea cups get me going.
Yeah, see, notice how I said "something else" right next to it? I left that out because I figured you wouldn't be weirded out nearly as much if I just said "feet".
Sorry bro that's abnormal can't have none of that in this here decent society!
im okay about people jerking off to feet but did you just

It'd be a lot worse if I told you what the something else was trust me

Jeez you'd think that you've seen worse than a foot fetish on Facepunch before. You yourself mentioned tranny chasers, ughghghghg nope.
It'd be a lot worse if I told you what the something else was trust me
I guarantee you I do a lot stranger, and given that it's you, I was already not surprised.

I know what it is :smug:
speaking of the trans community
assuming you were at a store and the cashier is a MtF
however, you personally think they are doing a shoddy job of acting female, and look manly
should you call them by male or female pronouns
It'd be a lot worse if I told you what the something else was trust me
You're telling that to the people who argued for dressing in rainbows. I think you're safe.

I'm going to assume either a cop-out of saying "it" where applicable or calling her a he.

On this level I'd say the men in underwear in those gay pride parades are more courageous than him.
