Has Charlie Sheen said anything about it?
I assume out of all celebrities, he'd be pretty cool about it.
I don't think anyone will really take it too seriously.
He's a comedian, and it's just the golden globes anyways. Everyone gets drunk it's not supposed to be that serious.

i love charlie sheen, but in my mind he's more likely to go 'mother FUCKER' and then walk to gervais house with a machete

Wasn't he put in a mental institution? Because I think the reaction might be pretty nuclear.
Here's a selection of his more controversial jokes:
"It was a big year for 3D movies. Toy Story, Despicable Me, Tron. It seems like everything this year was three-dimensional, except the characters in The Tourist. I already feel bad about that joke. I'm jumping on the bandwagon, because I haven't even seen The Tourist. Who has?
I'd like to quash the rumours that the only reason The Tourist was nominated was so that the Hollywood Foreign Press can hang out with Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. That is rubbish, that is not the only reason - they also accepted bribes.
"I Love You Phillip Morris stars Jim Carey and Ewan McGregor - two heterosexual actors pretending to be gay. So, the complete opposite of some famous scientologists. Probably. My lawyers helped me with the wording of that joke."
"I was sure the Golden Globe for special effects would go to the team that airbrushed [the Sex and the City 2] poster. Girls, we know how old you are. I saw one of you in an episode of Bonanza."
On Jennifer Lopez - "She's just Jenny from the block. If the block in question is that one on Rodeo Drive between Cartier and Prada."
On multi-millionaire Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg: "Heather Mills calls him the one that got away."
While introducing Robert Downey Jr - "Many of you in this room probably know him best from such facilities as the Betty Ford Clinic and Los Angeles County Jail."
God he's funny.
I honestly thought they dropped him when he didn't reappear for a while, then he came back :v:
Best Golden Globes host I've ever seen.
He alone made the awards less shit.
Those celebrities:

[x] Golden Tolds
I saw it last night and thought he was brilliant.
Steve Buscemi looks like "Why didn't he make a joke about me...?" :C
Robert DeNiro laughing is awesome.

More like [X] TOLDen Globes
this is 1 of the best things ive seen from ricky ina while
I thought Robert De Niro was funny too, but as shown buy Gervais, the whole audience was a bunch of pussies that couldn't take a joke.
I've never liked Gervais, but my respect for him just went up an awful lot.
I hate Gervais, but there's no reason to get mad at some mildly offensive (and kinda funny) jokes.
You mad, Hollywood?
I've never been a fan of Gervais and after seeing that and reading some of the jokes he told nothings changed . The aren't that offencive in themselves but they are told in a very nasty and venomous way, I know he performs in a dead-pan style but it was just too cold not to be taken as being offencive.
Last years was funnier.
I like a drink as much as the next man, unless that man is Mel Gibson.
Mel Gibson walks on.
Guy deserves a Golden Globe himself for this.
I can't stand Ricky Gervais, but honestly when I saw the title I assumed he made some joke about Sarah Palin's downs baby or something. This is tame.
I don't find Gervais funny at all any more. Why is he so popular in the United States? Has the US comedy scene just discovered the 'charm' of arrogance and sarcasm... 15 years after Gervais was actually relevant in his home country?
His style of presentation here is like an even worse version of Jonathan Ross doing the BAFTAs or whatever other crappy awards shows he hosts.
I think it's more that we have a love affair with genuine assholes. Look at the success of Carlin and Louis C.K.
Hell, some of Carlin's stand-up consists only of fart and dick jokes from an elementary playground. The minute he turns on the asshole, though, he's a fucking genius.
Also, the Charlie Sheen joke was hilarious.
I thought this article was going to be about how he said "And thank God I'm an Atheist." at the end.
Thankfully no.
I thought his comments were hilarious.
In before multimillion dollar lawsuit from Tom Cruise.

Was expecting this :

Would have been more interesting.
They should make him host every single award show because that was fantastic.
All I have to say is, English humor FTW

I mean, I don't really like the guy, but you can't deny that was a bold move, making jokes like that and stuff
