On my school they are paranoid as hell too.

My teacher seriously used to check my cookies out.
Ever since I found out, I always wipe my cookies just to tease her.
On the other hand, I have my rights on privacy, and I'm enforcing that.
Told her that and she didn't like it.
Not on a school computer during exams. Your right to privacy generally only reaches to emails if one can construe that they are equivalent to letters.
But a school computer during exams? Fair game.

For a second, I thought she was checking them for weed cookies.
surely she must have understood the stupidity of what she's saying
who DOESN'T believe that their information gathering is for good
there are no doctor evils in this world
Uh, lot's of people really. Especially since the reaction to the NSA leaks was "OMG USA = HITLERS"
Great. Now world leaders are going to lull the masses into believing that privacy is the root of evil.
She's high.
Our government keeps tabs on its people to bolster itself, not to "save lives".
She's not high, she's just lying. She's actually much smarter than this, and knows there will be no consequences for her statements.
Can I ask a question of liberals? Why do so many of you want to vote for Clinton? What is her platform? What has she promised to do?
At least with Obama he ran on bringing affordable healthcare to America at a time when such attention had been brought to it, and he promised to get out of Iraq and Afghanistan.
But what about Clinton? What has she offered that makes her such an obvious choice with democrats, what is her "big promise"?
Until you can answer me that I will maintain that the best choice for American progressives right now is none other than Rand Paul.
Rated dumb until I read that last line.

Rand Paul is awesome.
He defends civil liberties and doesn't afraid of anything.

Despite some of her... fucked up policies, she's the best chance to get an even remotely liberal candidate into office. I would love someone else with less horrible policies to get into office but because of how fucked up America's political system is right now, Clinton is too big of a powerhouse.

Civil liberties like your right to die in a missile strike on US soil for burglarizing a liquor store.
This is something I'd expect to hear from a conservative. All the more reason for me to believe that american politics is fucked
Not necessarily. I'm a stout conservative and am active in the conservative community locally. None of the conservatives I know support NSA spying. Most of us think it is down right criminal, a massive expansion of the federal government, and a clear violation of the 4th amendment.
I'm not really sure why some democrats and liberals support this (I know most don't). If Bush would have done something like this, the democrats would have been all over it. Alas, I think most democrats have come around and realize how criminal NSA spying is.
The only reason I can think of as to why anyone would be for it is because they're pro Obama, and Obama is pro NSA spying.
As for Hillary in 2016... I personally think she's a wind bag. If she wins, it will be 4 more years of the Obama administration. The anti-hillary folks will be labeled sexist and against women's rights, ect ect. Same old crap really.

thats the really strange part about this, bush essentially signed off on the early stages of these programs, but it wasn't until the renewal of the patriot act/fisa bill in 2008 where the democrats suddenly jumped onboard and inserted the clauses that have let the NSA go wild
while its probably true obama is at the very least responsible for the NSA's crazy overreach and at worse at the helm of the NSA's over-reach, its just so weird that the democrats suddenly shifted base so much on this issue because they were very against the spying parts of the patriot act in 2002

i personally don't want hillary to even run because she's such a corrupt politician and a straight up dishonest person. she made millions while in office through insider real-estate deals, then rolled in the pork for her state, then she goes on to be one of the most incompident secretaries of state in recent history with crazy stunts like the russian reset (which is a fucking joke) and is responsible for the deaths at bengazi because she denied their requests for more security forces
im not a crazy conservative by a long shot but she's like the typical democrat front runner, corrupt as fuck and her election would be all about "its time to elect a woman because it just is"
i can't believe that most of election of the most powerful person in the world was all about color in 2008, and i sure as hell don't want it to be about gender in 2016 when the world has gotten a lot scarier
[editline]6th July 2014[/editline]
i just think also the republicans have nothing to fight her, they have the uber-conservative base that is completely mental pushing them too far away from general public, thats why bush was at least able to win in 2004, he could appeal to the center
hilary clinton is just a terrible person and has zero problem lying to peoples' faces, fuck her. she pretty much got 4 people killed and never even took public responsibility for it, i honestly wonder if she even cares
im still in a state of disbelief that she was actually secretary of state
When she becomes president of the USA, it is gonna be hillaryous
But she wo-
oh wait we elected Obama twice
I think there probably is some democrats in a backroom discussing the issue, they just dont have anyone lined up to take her on yet, with Obama they knew he was going to be on the ticket after the 2004 election. They have to be contemplating though, Hillary is very much a damaged good with more than enough skeletons to make the campaign a very brutal one
[editline]6th July 2014[/editline]
Plus I dont see Obama and his political machine throwing its weight behind her
But she wo-

Like we had a choice in the matter? Him or Romney, and I'd still choose him over Romney.
Those drone attacks sure did save loads of lives down here thanks
Do liberals even like her anymore, sounds like both side would hate her.
I can attest that conservatives hate her guts as well. :v:

I'm all against drone warfare in Pakistan, but they're not there to keep Pakistani's safe and no one tries to say otherwise.
