But my knives were created for the specific purpose of being used in cooking. And it's much harder to kill as many people with a knife as you could with a gun. It's also much easier to disarm and detain a person with a knife. They will never do as much damage as someone with a gun, especially someone with an automatic weapon with a large magazine. Can't you see you're still just trying desperately to justify something, that really, isn't justified? Except in a really old constitution that people seem to swear by. A constitution made by slave owners. Is that cool too? Can't you see that something that may have applied then, doesn't apply now?

If it is proven that if someone is 21 feet or closer they can pull out a knife, stab you multiple times before you can draw and fire one shot. Its been used in many use of force cases and justified shootings. A knife can be just as deadly as any other gun/weapon. Now obvious we know that guns can be far more effective, but my point stands. Knifes can be just as bad, hell look at ballistic knifes.
