People are not going to agree to all-out banning. The logical thing to do is start with stricter regulations and increase education.
That's a dumb question, you can, but they are ridiculously expensive. (and good look finding even empty shells to reload and use in it)
yeah i'm sure the city would be just fine with me driving around in a working tank complete with live shells and a mounted MG
Assault weapon is an actual term referring to military-style assault rifles, sub machine guns, and shotguns that, regardless of firing mode or rate are specifically engineered to engage human targets. It's not a word cooked up by crazy liberal gun control advocates to scare people. It's an easy way to categorize a set of weapons.
yeah dude good luck trying to conceal an ar-15 in your jacket. real life is not a movie.
I was thinking more along the lines of a bag. Since yes, life is not a movie
folding stocks are designed for better mobility and movement on the battlefield, hopping in and out of vehicles and being able to maneuver your weapon more easily. seems a bit useless if you're just shooting targets pistol grip is to "ergonomically" help you control your spray when you're firing rapidly, it's much easier to grip a vertical pipe than try to pull a gun back down after recoil while you're holding it's underside
beep boop i do not understand that something can have more than one purpose. it must only have the purpose it was made with forever
It's MY right as an MERICAN' to be able to use the biggest fucking gun I can find to shoot the most innocent animal I can find. THAT'S FREEDOM FOR YAH. Better yet lets get drunk and do it! Oh wait, I'm not 21.
beep boop i do not understand that something can have more than one purpose. it must only have the purpose it was made with forever
beep boop i'm implying there are valid purposes for this tool apart from killing, because my hobby is more important to me than human life
yeah i'm sure the city would be just fine with me driving around in a working tank complete with live shells and a mounted MG
As long as it is street legal (which a large majority are), yes, you can with the right few licenses.
This is completely irrelevant, and it's probably the only piece of information you can find.
yes among all of the internet i could only find one piece of information against guns! i didnt find this:
If a gun is used during a domestic violence assault, there’s a 23-fold increased likelihood that the victim will die. Women who are victims of domestic violence are five times more likely to be killed if their abuser owns a firearm.
or this:
Two-thirds of the 179,000 homicides committed during the 2000s made use of a firearm, usually a handgun.
and i definitely didnt find this!
beep boop i'm implying there are valid purposes for this tool apart from killing, because my hobby is more important to me than human life
Because there are valid purposes besides killing. Your definition of 'valid' may differ, but that's honestly your problem
beep boop i'm implying there are valid purposes for this tool apart from killing, because my hobby is more important to me than human life
hahaha you just proved my point. you genuinely cannot figure out that something can have multiple purposes. there are lots of purposes for guns besides killing. if you can't recognize this then you really should not be discussing guns.
As long as it is street legal (which a large majority are), yes, you can with the right few licenses.
it's legal to own a tank with live shells and MG ammo? neat! since clearly you're either A. desperate or B. legitimately failing to recognize the point i'm making, why am i not allowed to have an armed apache gunship to fly around town [editline]26th July 2012[/editline]
hahaha you just proved my point. you genuinely cannot figure out that something can have multiple purposes. there are lots of purposes for guns besides killing. if you can't recognize this then you really should not be discussing guns.
maybe you should tell me what these purposes are instead of trying to look nonchalant by typing "hahahahah" before every message
beep boop i do not understand that something can have more than one purpose. it must only have the purpose it was made with forever
lol yep something make purely to kill people, and a form of that something made purely to make killing people easier has more than one purpose
People are not going to agree to all-out banning. The logical thing to do is start with stricter regulations and increase education.
did we not do this when the columbine massacre happened? what about the virginia tech massacre..? why does it take massacres for people to realize that these things should have been imposed much earlier
Why are gun debates such a huge clusterfuck of logical and illogical arguements..?
hahaha you just proved my point. you genuinely cannot figure out that something can have multiple purposes. there are lots of purposes for guns besides killing. if you can't recognize this then you really should not be discussing guns.
there's lots of purposes for guns besides killing! like, you can shoot at stuff.... and... shoot at stuff???
I have one word for all these people arguing: Texas. How often do you hear of fatal shootings in Texas similar to this one? Next to never. Why? Because a large majority of people Open or Concealed carry a firearm, so who do you think will want to go on a shooting rampage knowing that? Anyone?
maybe you should tell me what these purposes are instead of trying to look nonchalant by typing "hahahahah" before every message
Target shooting Collecting, restoring, etc Like I said. It's down to you to recognize those activities as valid, because most of the rest of us do
there's lots of purposes for guns besides killing! like, you can shoot at stuff.... and... shoot at stuff???
Did you know that you can shoot at nonliving things? Crazy, I know
lol yep something make purely to kill people, and a form of that something made purely to make killing people easier has more than one purpose
Guns are not made purely to kill people. That's like saying knives are made purely to kill people just because they can kill people. Hunting and shooting (at the range) are very popular hobbies, same with just collecting weapons. Stop being so close-minded.
lol yep something make purely to kill people, and a form of that something made purely to make killing people easier has more than one purpose
long range shooting competitions, three gun competitions, cowboy shooting, skeet shooting and other forms of shooting sports don't exist apparently. its all about killing forever and ever like some shitty video game.
yes among all of the internet i could only find one piece of information against guns! i didnt find this: or this: and i definitely didnt find this!
Gun crime with large capacity magazines and "assault weapons" declined. Nowhere does it mention violent crime as a whole.
beep boop i'm implying there are valid purposes for this tool apart from killing, because my hobby is more important to me than human life
That is a horrible argument, you can not punish an individual for the potential actions of another. What about sword and knife collectors? Should it be illegal for me to be a hobbyist herpetologist because someone else did not properly handle pet reptiles and innocent children have died?
did we not do this when the columbine massacre happened? what about the virginia tech massacre..? why does it take massacres for people to realize that these things should have been imposed much earlier
...and it was illegal for people their age to carry firearms, but did it stop them? Nope, not at all.
That is a horrible argument, you can not punish an individual for the potential actions of another. What about sword and knife collectors? Should it be illegal for me to be a hobbyist herpetologist because someone else did not properly handle pet reptiles and innocent children have died?
reptiles are designed to kill other animals so we should never allow them as pets.
Target shooting Collecting, restoring, etc Like I said. It's down to you to recognize those activities as valid, because most of the rest of us do Did you know that you can shoot at nonliving things? Crazy, I know
so basically enhancing the cool-factor of your gun is worth letting more people die to gun violence?
Guns are not made purely to kill people. That's like saying knives are made purely to kill people just because they can kill people. Hunting and shooting (at the range) are very popular hobbies, same with just collecting weapons. Stop being so close-minded.
guns ARE made purely to kill people. being able to kill people is a side effect of knives, not the purpose of them. guns are made to kill people, sure you can shoot at bottles but that doesn't stop what the gun was MADE to do
I have one word for all these people arguing: Texas. How often do you hear of fatal shootings in Texas similar to this one? Next to never. Why? Because a large majority of people Open or Concealed carry a firearm, so who do you think will want to go on a shooting rampage knowing that? Anyone?
the best way to stop a shooting is for everyone else to whip out their guns and join in right?!
That is a horrible argument, you can not punish an individual for the potential actions of another. What about sword and knife collectors? Should it be illegal for me to be a hobbyist herpetologist because someone else did not properly handle pet reptiles and innocent children have died?
considering how little of an impact reptiles have on the murder rates in the country, no you can keep your lizards however the day a massive pet reptile kills 12 people in a movie theatre we might need to reconsider what pets are allowed
so basically enhancing the cool-factor of your gun is worth letting more people die to gun violence?
How does me having a cool gun cause people to die. How.
Gun crime with large capacity magazines and "assault weapons" declined. Nowhere does it mention violent crime as a whole.
and they had a ban on guns with large capacity mags, not on violent things as a whole so yeah that makes sense that it declined!
