Plus gives humans more space (since we are already overpopulated), it will make sure humans can't go extinct since we have 2 worlds instead of one and a it will give us a huge amount of new things to learn and discover.
I don't me to sound like a prick, but if humans already war over one planet, what makes you think we would be sane with two planets? It's just asking for trouble.

Well that's just shitty reasoning.
Maybe if we'd get the fuck out of the middle east we wouldn't need all that air conditioning.

Wasn't there some thread a while back about how a certain element may occur more often on the moon, where here it has to be synthesized? Either that or a science magazine.

Sounds like you have been playing to much red faction. Having more resources will mean less war actually.
You won't find them by just throwing money at NASA, either.
we wont?
thats odd because last time i checked you had to FUND SOMETHING to get results
All of you people saying A/C is fucking necessity:
Look at my country. Right now it averages 45 degrees but my house is insulated against heat gain. It's really apparent in the winter when it gets down 18 degrees when the house gets really (relatively) chilly.\
ACs are not needed in the desert, only good airflow, shade and insulation against heat.
And how can you prove that resources are on other planets?
They have alrady determined that the moon's surface soils are rich in metals suitable for space construction.
Maybe we should have wars in space so the heat wont be a problem.

:frog:
Here's an idea: How about we pull out.
Edit: Whoops, I'm a bit late.
I can't believe I read past the first page until realizing how old these posts are.
