It kinda annoys me I see people sticking things like flags or stickers onto objects or themselves which makes them think they are somehow patriotic. This is hardly patriotic and this also isn't what patriotism stands for. It's also against the flags rules. So basically not only is it non-patriotic, but it is also disrespectful.
There's rules for flags?
Shit, I wear it around my crotch in the form of a speedo. If I can wear a speedo with a U.S. flag on it tight around my ass, I'm sure they can drape one over their shoulders.
Congratulations, USA. You spent all this time and risking so much just to kill one man who has little to no significance to the War on Terror. Someone else will take his spot and there are many terrorists still left on this world. :bravo:

I say we as a whole risked a lot to kill these guys also.

Well that's what I think. You can continue to wave whatever you want around to symbolize your patriotism, it should have no effect on me. I don't really take to the idea though of people just blindly following whatever appointed government upholds them.
Obviously i'm glad he's gone due to him being an evil guy, but it does make me laugh how incredibly hypocritical a lot of these extreme christians are being about it.

"WE KILLED OSAMA FUCK YEAH AMERICA USA USA! HE DESERVES TO BURN IN HELL I AM SO HAPPY HE'S DEAD"
Personally I find it abhorrent to celebrate someone's death, no matter what kind of person they are.
I agree that I don't like the idea that people are celebrating over his death. To me it's practically a gross misconduct on human dignity regardless of what he did.

American citizens whether they liked it or not have been paying into the war machine for almost a decade just so that they can have Osama killed and have 'Democracy spread' throughout the Mid East. I don't think they were blindfolded into this.
Celebrating the death of someone is just wrong, no matter who they are.

Sure, this man led a generation of Germans to their deaths, brought the country into a nosedive through Hell, singlehandedly ruined the image of Germany for decades to come, and destroyed another generation of minorities. I'd be happy to see this man go.

This old geezer was responsible for the longest filibuster ever held on the Senate floor, his record still stands today. His filibuster included harsh, racial rhetoric in order to block Civil Rights Legislation from passing in the early 60's. He was continuously reelected well into his 90's.
If things do work right, I'm sure both of those people are in a very very hot, and fiery place right now.
I busted a huge laugh and a smile when I heard Osama was killed, the world would fare better without such a man.
am i wrong for wanting a picture of osama dead?
does that make me an alex jones?
[editline]4th May 2011[/editline]
The moment anyone asks for a picture they are automatically a conspiracy theorist?
That's how I feel right now.
Bleeding heart.
Jeez, these guys who "don't celebrate the death of a mass murderer" all over the place are idiots.
The guy caused a 10 year war, killed thousands of people. This is like saying you shouldn't celebrate the end of a war.
How would you feel if you knew someone who was killed in 9/11? You would celebrate too.
You guys are so naive its not even funny, people aren't going to hold hands and frolic through fields of flowers.
Anyone else notice the extra arm?
Yep.

We had troops thrown into the Middle East, and our involvement shot up in the region for years.

You're right, when Big Ben gets knocked the fuck over by the Taliban, make sure to just sit there and take it like a little bitch. America reacted and god knows nothing they do is ever right.

It's sort of unsettling to know that this may be the picture to go down in history school books in 50 years
kinda like this one

in a way.... it is eerie to see history being put under the paper press.
He killed millions of people. They Millions of people celebrated the Death of them. Now we kill 1 man and we celebrate his death.
He was just a name to put to a blame to and probably had nothing to do with it
He was just a name to put to a blame to and probably had nothing to do with it
Are you serious?
It goes from one extreme to another; thousands of Muslim extremists celebrating the deaths of westerners to thousands of Americans celebrating the death of a Muslim extremist. A vicious cycle and nothing is gained.
Forgive my ignorance regarding the quote i posted earlier but nonetheless it is very apt as is, some would say, this quote from Mark Twain - "I did not attend his funeral, but I wrote a nice letter saying I approved of it."
Look I understand patriotism but I think this is pushing it a bit.
You're not supposed to wear the flag as clothing, it's unpatriotic actually. :v:

Despite the fact he claimed responsibility almost immediately, and never made a video saying "Hey, USA, that whole 9/11 thing wasn't me".
He killed millions of people. They Millions of people celebrated the Death of them. Now we kill 1 man and we celebrate his death.
uh, I'm pretty sure Osama didn't kill millions of people.
Americans don't realize this was a NATO campaign, other countries put their parts into finding Osama, USA just ended it, show some respect to other countries, everyone did a part

That's a totally different circumstance. Do you really think it's respectful when people wear underwear, headbands, and the like where their gross bodily fluid can get all over it?
That's a totally different circumstance. Do you really think it's respectful when people wear underwear, headbands, and the like where their gross bodily fluid can get all over it?
Since when did we treat the flag as some sort of venerable object?
EDIT: If wearing a flag around your body or having it printed on a jumpsuit before you do a motorcycle jump helps convey the impression to the majority that you are a patriot for your country, then so be it.
You mind as well just ban having the American flag painted on NASCAR race cars because the image of the American flag could be smashed and dented and be unpatriotic.
-snip-
We didn't go into the war JUST to kill Osama. In another thread (I believe it was the one about George W. not wanting to go to ground zero with Obama) I remember someone saying that George Bush didn't really care if we got Osama or not. Killing Osama was just a benchmark. Like a secondary objective.
Look I understand patriotism but I think this is pushing it a bit.
It should be celebrated by the world. Like how everyone celebrated when Hitler is dead. Or how Japan surrendered.
who had a bigger dik osama or hitler?
