As well as Teenagers. I have seen very little respect for anyone in that age while living here, though only a couple of years. Plus the fact you hear it in the news. American culture treats teenagers as 'today's little assholes that need to be controlled'. There's no respect or anything for them.

I know there really is no way to validate this statement but I'll say it anyway - I wasn't really the stereotypical "asshole teenager". I was respectful to people in charge and listened to them.
So much that my peers occasionally called me an "old man" for how I acted.
And that wide array of personalities kinda proves my point. American society doesn't want that, they want people to follow one path. You see it everyday. There's slight hunts of supporting peoples own choices but when it comes down to it it's all bullshit.

Yep! Child pornography laws ignore the age of consent, too, which is, in my opinion, literally retarded. And the interesting bit is that you can be punished severely with laws intended to stop child abuse for 'abuse' done to yourself.
