We know Palestine is no worse than anyone else in this conflict, but after what happened in Germany and Eastern Europe, it seemed abundantly clear that there was no safe haven for the Jewish community. For almost the entire history of the Jewish community, they have been driven out of place to place through terrorist means and/or a huge adverse situation, such as slavery. The purpose of establishing Israel as a nation was to allow the Jewish community to have their own country that would be a safe haven for them in the world.
