What a fucking disappointment.
America has incredibly disappointed me.
"I can rub sand paper on my skin, or I can rub cream on my skin. I have rubbed sand paper on my skin and it now has rashes and cuts on it. I rub cream on it, expecting it to heal right away. It doesn't seem to be healing immediately, therefore it doesn't work, so I will return to rubbing sand paper on it until it is better." Pretty much the logic of half of the damn country.
What the hell is with all the people freaking out because a few people made bad jokes about stoners and Prop 19? I support legalization completely but even I had to make the joke. Know why? Its a dammed joke. Glad that the Democrats at least kept the senate. Was hoping they also keep the HoR, but I knew they'd lose it. Still, maybe they'll actually try to work.together and compromise, since they now pretty much have to work with each other to get any thing done for their side.
Also, doesn't federal law making marijuana illegal override state propositions?
With major issues like this it becomes muddled primarily because of the tenth amendment, which is about the powers retained by the state. Some argue that the tenth amendment means that states are only required to adhere to the Constitution and following all other laws and regulations is voluntary.
And life goes on.
aren't you just contradicting your own argument here
How is calling you a huge dick contradicting my argument that people voted down Prop 19 so they can continue to be outside the law?
How is calling you a huge dick contradicting my argument that people voted down Prop 19 so they can continue to be outside the law?
Unfortunately, there are no studies (as far as I am aware) showing the specific reasons individuals use marijuana. So really its all just anecdotal evidence and speculative at best.
How is calling you a huge dick contradicting my argument that people voted down Prop 19 so they can continue to be outside the law?
I smoke pot so I can fall asleep, and enjoy my free time. Your point is null.
Well that's shit..
How is calling you a huge dick contradicting my argument that people voted down Prop 19 so they can continue to be outside the law?
no you can't really call me a dick i mean you can, it's just a little hypocritical and the other one doesn't even make any sense, not a single stoner i know would prefer pot to be illegal like i said, dicks that haven't even met stoners before
No! I was hoping for a breakthrough in society's views. :(
I'm a huge cali stoner, and I can tell you for a fact prop 19 wasn't passed because of the crap people found out were in the bill. In 2012 a much better legalization bill will go through.
America has incredibly disappointed me.
This.
Prop 19 failed. WHAT THE FUCK. WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK.
I actually wanted the thing to pass so the pot-heads would stop making so many goddamn threads on it.
Also, doesn't federal law making marijuana illegal override state propositions?
Yes, the DEA said they will continue to enforce laws in California even if the act passed.
This was the biggest House seat change in 68 years. The Republicans really won by a landslide.
I really hate Republicans. They stand for everything I'm against: religion, completely free market economy and social conservatism.
This is such a shame. :frown:
I really hate Republicans. They stand for everything I'm against: religion, completely free market economy and social conservatism.
So you're for completely going against the Constitution, then.
So you're for completely going against the Constitution, then.
So you're for Hitler then.
So you're for completely going against the Constitution, then.
The Constitution doesn't say shit about religion, free market or social conservatism.
Really, California rejected Prop 19? I thought everybody in California was high basically all the time. I was genuinely convinced that it was essentially mandatory to be high all the time if you lived in California. This is surprising to me. edit They must have all been out buying those little powdered donuts instead of voting.
These go stale really fast.
So you're for completely going against the Constitution, then.
p. sure the constitution is secular and doesn't support taking rights away from people
I really hate Republicans. They stand for everything I'm against: religion, completely free market economy and social conservatism.
The first and last points I agree with entirely, but if you know much of anything about the free market economy and economics in general, you'd most likely recant that part of the statement. [editline]3rd November 2010[/editline]
The Constitution doesn't say shit about religion, free market or social conservatism.
The Amendments are part of the Constitution. The establishment clause and free expression clause of the First Amendment mean that, while Congress can not support any religious body, they can also not prohibit its practice unless it poses a serious threat to other laws.
If only republicans had some fucking reasoning and if only democrats had some balls to call out the republicans bullshit, then maybe we wouldn't have these issues. Also, so what if prop 19 doesn't get passed? IMO marijuana eventually will become legalized in maybe a couple years or so. It's just that we have to much bullshit on our plate right now to care about silly little prop that will only make a couple of stoners happy.
When it all drags down to it... I'm happy Pelosi is out. She was one miserable bitch, regardless of politics.
is it like mandatory for every person who leans just a little bit right to display dickness in huge quantities maybe we wouldn't be so mean if you weren't such a dick like, saying shit about pot smokers, that's just being a dick you don't even know them or anything
yes because the republicans are all evil people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! go democrats!
When it all drags down to it... I'm happy Pelosi is out. She was one miserable bitch, regardless of politics.
Lying, backstabbing bitch. "I do not support the Iraq war however I continue to pass bills to support funding."
