Democrats cling onto the Senate by not much while GOP dominates the House. Prop 19 fails.

The free market can do no more wrong than government intervention.

I'd say Ron Paul is fairly close though and libertarianism has definitely influenced his political career.
i didnt know the government uses slaves to make cloths?
im laughing heartily
Enjoy yourself.
But while you're at it consider how much thought you've really put into government intrusion. It's disheartening how quick our society has begun to regard the governments of the world as the brash saviors of that "evil free market where crooks and liars benefit on the expense of others".
Libertarianism believes in a free-market, that's failure enough
No not necessarily
I think he's trying to draw the distinction between libertarianism and the kind of shit you get from the libertarian party which are not really the same thing. Libertarianism has a much broader definition than the ideals of the libertarian party. Noam Chomsky, for instance, is a libertarian socialist.
wait so your saying free market is worse then government help
Not government help.. government intervention and regulation.
And the other way around.
libertarian socialist.
Yeah there is this.

That argument cuts both ways
That argument cuts both ways
You're right and it could perhaps be applied to me as well.
The difference is that I don't laugh when someone tells me they're a socialist.
since people help there society more when the society is helping them, that people on average happeir when resources are divided evenly and because scientific advances have so many times been hindered by greed i would say anything that supports cooperation is probably the best thing for us
because scientific advances have so many times been hindered by greed
When for example?
Last I recall many of the major scientific advances of the past two centuries have been accomplished from the direct result of private interest.

You can't run a society on the idea of equal resources until we have such a large abundance that everyone has so much there is no want or need for any more.
"The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries." - Churchill

Somalia is an example of this
Not sure why Republicans are so excited to take the house for two years. Sure, they get their gridlock, but now they're going to get blamed for no progress, and its going to be much easier for Obama to get reelected.
also jerry brown is now my governor fuck my life
now that democrats aren't in power, can someone tell me one good thing obama and his democrats have done?

I am a free market libertarian.
Do you know your system is a total failure or are you still in the stage of denial?

Bush was a great capitalist, he was president about 2 years ago. So i'd say: nope.avi
Bush proved that capitalism effects how government is run and in a bad way
the republicans are all blazed as shit, now theyre just mocking us
Bush was a great capitalist, he was president about 2 years ago. So i'd say: nope.avi
Bush was not a free market capitalist, he wanted less regulation but only in certain sectors. You can not compare a free market capitalist to a President with programs of medicare, farm subsidies, and no child left behind.
Bush proved that capitalism effects how government is run and in a bad way
Reagan did that. Bush Jr. proved that a moron should not run a country.
Reagan's tax policies pushed both the international transactions current account and the federal budget into deficit and led to a significant increase in public debt. National debt more than tripled from 900 billion dollars to 2.8 trillion dollars during Reagan's tenure.
