Someone got shot for doing something that fully justifies that reaction? Better associate ourselves with that kind of behavior by protesting in defense of that person, now people might think twice about all young black people being like this if we all act in a way that fully reinforces that stereotype. Its a crime infested shit hole and they can't even keep it contained there. The group is full of thugs who are butt hurt and trying to lash out against the government and police. Seems like I jumped the gun in the face of limited information. Witness testimonies indicate a different story than the one in the article. At the very least, it shows that this incident isn't quite as clear cut as was initially reported.

Perhaps they were concerned about being shot or systematically marginalized by cops? The whole fiasco all started from them refusing to remove gear that would conceal their identity.

The guns were concealed until after they were assaulted based on that witness video. The only mention of bullet proof vests that I've seen was a single witness claiming that he heard one of the other protesters yell that they were wearing vests when reaching over and feeling their clothes.

You don't fuck around with mob mentality. If these individuals were attacked first, and then ran while having a huge fucking mob after them. Which the video seems to support. Then the action is justified. That one punch is quickly going to turn into all of them getting stomped and kicked to death.

Even if it wasn't these guys specifically who fired the shots, they are some truly despicable people. If it was? Put the shooter's ass in jail. I've read 5 or 6 different articles trying to get a better picture of what happened, and I've seen about 5 or 6 different, conflicting, stories. We're really going to have to wait for more details before knowing who started it, whether the shooting was justified, who did the shooting, etc. I've seen witnesses claim that the people were wearing ski masks and masks only covering the bottom of their face. I've seen witnesses claim that the shooting happened in the protest and outside of the protest. I've seen witnesses claim that the shooters ran away as soon as people asked them questions and that they ran way after being assaulted. etc. etc.

Sounds like they intended to stir up shit but got mobbed before they could start. But I guess we'll have to see.
