Or as close as possible, also there are things in between prison and inside a daycare
How are you supposed to be sure at all? even 50%? His word of 'lol I won't do it again I promise' doesn't mean shit. Unless you have him under surveillance, but someone would complain about how that's breaching his privacy or some shit. I'm sure any responsible parent wouldn't want their kid anywhere near a convicted child molester, regardless of how 'reformed' he may be.
this is what psychologists and professionals are for. you know, the people actually qualified to say whether or not this guy is 'beyond help'
If you think psychologists and professionals can 100% of the time tell if someone will reoffend or not, you are wrong. Convicted child molesters should never be allowed to get jobs involving children.
I was responding to this [t]http://i.imgur.com/huvLc8B.jpg[/t]
well thats why the 'in between'
well thats why the 'in between'
sorry man but there is no way i can imagine a fucker like this becoming part of this society again
sorry man but there is no way i can imagine a fucker like this becoming part of this society again
Well I guess that's why you're not a psychologist or psychiatrist
Well I guess that's why you're not a psychologist or psychiatrist
I'm pretty sure a psychologist or therapist would agree that this man can never be successfully reintegrated into society. The danger is just too large for him to reoffend. This wasn't a one time thing. This wasn't a heat of the moment passion thing. This was planned, recorded, documented, shared, and done repeatedly. We can't even cure depression, what makes you think we can make this guy fit to reenter society? The most he could hope for, and this is coming from someone who firmly believes in reform for inmates, is to be transferred from a federal superman to a regular maximum security. This guy can NOT EVER re-enter society.
once again he may not be able to, but he should be given the help
Feels weird knowing that even if you commit the most horrible crimes imaginable there still will be people defending you and trying to give you all the best.
Well I guess that's why you're not a psychologist or psychiatrist
doesn't matter if he is 100% reformed and fully mentally well, society would not accept him back into the fold
Feels weird knowing that even if you commit the most horrible crimes imaginable there still will be people defending you and trying to give you all the best.
Because there are some cases where it's alright to do so and is preferable, but in the case of Peter Scully, it isn't because that lunatic is so insane and purely evil, he's simply irredeemable. We cannot risk getting someone who has such immense disregard for anything back into it, it's not a matter of if he'll do shit again, it's when. [editline]28th September 2016[/editline] People like him are nothing but a burden. A pure waste of time and effort. Yet another factor holding all of us back.
Feels weird knowing that even if you commit the most horrible crimes imaginable there still will be people defending you and trying to give you all the best.
Not defending his actions [editline]28th September 2016[/editline]
doesn't matter if he is 100% reformed and fully mentally well, society would not accept him back into the fold
That's a totally different issue
once again he may not be able to, but he should be given the help
Why use the help on him if we can use it on people who might be returned to society, given that these resources are scarce?
Or as close as possible, also there are things in between prison and inside a daycare
Through extensive research, our teams have concluded that 97% was as close as possible. We believe we're qualified to say he passed the 97% test with flying colors, though! We are almost certain he will never again disembowel a little girl and rape her to death! How amazing is that!
Not defending his actions
No, you're defending him. Which is still really strange.
Even if the piece of shit somehow managed to reform himself and get released back into society, which will never fucking happen, he still killed innocent people. He will never be employed and if he has neighbors they'll avoid this asshole like the plague. Or if we're being hopeful we'll see the bastard get a taste of frontier justice.
I can't wait for him to get executed. He doesn't deserve to breathe this air.
That's a totally different issue
i disagree, it is another factor that should be considered and, in my opinion, is worth discussing
Fuck compassion, this guy deserves nothing short of an oldschool guillotine.
You're saying if he is rehabilitated successfully, he still deserves to be killed?
You know you are arguing a moot point. Scully is purely evil, even now he is showing zero compassion or empathy. Some paedophiles show genuine remorse but this guy is fucking revelling in his actions. I would make an example of him and execute him without remorse.

You never answer any questions either so I don't have much sympathy
... What? [editline]28th September 2016[/editline] Give me one question I've left unanswered
... What? [editline]28th September 2016[/editline] Give me one question I've left unanswered
What are this coming saturdays winning lottery numbers? :v:
I wonder how SIRIUS would react if a guy randomly approached a sibling of his and shot him square in the face with a sawed-off shotgun. Would you refer him (the killer) to a psychiatrist right there on the spot?

Which is why I'm neither a judge nor a legislator, and even if I was I'd get removed from the process for that case due to conflict of interest.
