Look, it's more humane to snuff them out than lock them away in a tiny cell for the rest of their lives, possible incurring abuse from fellow inmates.
Put it this way, would you prefer to live the rest of your life locked in a box hidden from society knowing that the world has continued on in your absence with no one ever caring that you even still exist? Why do you think mental health issues explode in prison?
This man has abused children, many children. He has raped and killed them for his own gratification. He has no remorse for this and he will never feel guilt for his actions. He is nothing more than a dangerous animal who ceased being a man the moment he touched his first victim.
He holds no ounce of humanity and protesting that he should live his life out in prison is a cruel joke to him, the families he has violated and most importantly to you for supporting caged treatment as an act to some ludicrous stance on human rights.
If he wants to die, I support the right to commit suicide. If he wants to live, he should be allowed to live.
If he wants to die, I support the right to commit suicide. If he wants to live, he should be allowed to live.
He lost the right to choose the moment he decided to become a child molester and a murderer. Fuck this piece of shit, he will live or die depending on what the public wants, not want he wants. Far as I'm concerned he doesn't have human rights anymore.
Why do i never see anyone in threads like these asking about or even addressing the circumstances that shaped a person like this? Just talking about killing him. like that will fix it. this guy wasn't made in a vacuum, he didn't come from another planet, he was made to be who he is HERE and by the world WE LIVE IN
[editline]25th September 2016[/editline]
why?
Yeah, you've got a point here. Crime doesn't happen for no reason.
If he wants to die, I support the right to commit suicide. If he wants to live, he should be allowed to live.
Fuck what he wants.
Why would anyone grant this bag of turd any kind of decency? He isn't entitled to shit anymore.
I'm sure his biological children would want nothing to do with him either, he is a deranged fucking twat who is alone in this world (no, his accomplices don't fucking count as humans either).
Solitary confinement for life, and constant monitoring to make sure he doesn't kill himself.
This is just sickening. Legitimately unsettling how someone could have it in them to do that shit. I'm usually hesitant to have the death penalty but this guy is definitely a prime candidate.
Good get fucked mate

it's not about fixing it, it's about removing waste from the planet
When people get to justifying firing squads, it worries me, even when it's something this grotesque.
Most people who are paedophiles generally are molested themselves at a young age, it's a viscous cycle. The fact some people in the community are advocating death for someone who is likely a victim turned criminal is certainly a shame.
I'd rather have a better support system out there for the children of such hideous crimes and support lines for those who become unwilling (Nobody wants to be a social pariah lads, lets be honest) subjects to disgusting impulses.
So do you want Amnesty for ISIS fighters too?
This guy needs to be killed. Crime is deterred not by the severity of justice, but by the certainty of it
Capital punishment does not deter crime.

Now you're the one supporting a punishment based on conjecture. You want him to die because his life in prison "might" in the end be worse than death, trying to make it seem like your reasoning isn't based on a sense of revenge. Just letting you know I'm against the death penalty, not because no one deserves to die but because the legal system is not infallible.
Do you not know what mental diseases are? The dude's brain was just wired funky. If we had a dearth of child molesting, decapitating, torturers then yeah the social level would be worth looking at but the guy was just fucking nuts. Why SHOULD he be allowed to exist in society?
I don't think as he is he has a place in society obviously. But you have NO proof that he was born with ANY condition

If we're being honest, my reasoning is actually revenge. I'm not gonna make up some "logical" reason as to why this man deserves death. Fact of the matter is he has done things so sickening that I feel like vomiting when I read the article. So when I say I want this man dead, I want him dead because he is a piece of shit who deserves to die. I am saying this because I want revenge for all those innocent children he has destroyed.
Kill the cunt, you can't rehabilitate a piece of shit like this.
Waste of money and space Keeping him alive in prison.

And that's absolutely fine, it's a natural reaction to want someone dead when they do things that are this heinous. I'm only against the death penalty because the legal system isn't infallible and I think it's wrong for a government to take someone's life.
There's always that group of people out there. If it's not child molesters, then its murderers-- serial killers even-- who are being defended. I think a lot of it comes from the fact that these people simply have no idea the extent and weight of their crimes is all. They don't have to deal with the victims, they don't have to suffer at all themselves, they don't have to clean up the messes or care for the scum who do shit like this... so they don't care. They're sheltered, and they think their high-minded idealism counts for something in reality when in truth it's nothing but crap.
This guy did what he did, he's old enough to know better, he's a deplorable human being. He deserves to be shot for what he did, and hopefully he will be shot. Once he's dead, that will be the end of the matter. He certainly won't be hurting people anymore.
Actually its more that there is a group of people who view things extremely black and white to the point they jump to a conclusion without even reading what they're getting uppity about.
The guy mentioned his probably fucked up past and how it contributed to him, how is that defending him? If anything he is trying to point out one of the underlying issues that leads to problems like this, the lack of care and recognition of mental problems.
He is not saying the guy is faultless, he is saying killing this guy won't make it to where another one won't pop up. What do we do then, kill that one too? Ok, and then what about the next one?
Eventually it just becomes a bunch of dead bodies for fucking nothing. It satisfies a base desire for revenge thinly veiled as justice which is fueled by one of the most violent and possessive emotions out there: indignation and the feeling of being righteous.
We are at the point in society where we have to start pushing past this because while it may be satisfying in the short term it accomplishes nothing that a hit of heroin wouldn't solve and I don't see you putting that into your system.
All I see from you is generalizations and a high horse which is ironic considering you're bashing him for having "high minded idealism". I would take an idealist who strives for improvement over someone who is jaded, and wants the quick/easy solution.

Because we are afraid. "The man believed to have perpetrated some of the worst crimes against children laughed, joked and acted nonchalant about his alleged crimes." How do you rehabilitate someone like that? It's possible, but the risk of him repeating offenses is too high of a risk to take.
i normally dont condone the death penalty but honestly if anyone deserves a bullet in the head its him
i normally dont condone the death penalty but honestly if anyone deserves a bullet in the head its him
You're either for or against the death penalty. The seriousness of the crime shouldn't change your stance on the death penalty. You're for the death penalty; you just have a certain threshold for what you believe is worthy of it.
Which isnt objectively bad, but be honest with yourself.
I am against death penalty, but in this case where it's 100% certain I'd be ok with it.
Vehemently against firing squads though. That's NK-y and very archaic.
In my opinion, killing is killing, so unless it's in immediate self defense with no alternatives, it's wrong

No, I'm staunchly against it, but I will not be protesting against the death of this man. I don't think the death penalty should be reinstated, but if it is and he's on it, then so be it

yeah, not for firing squad as well, if you have to the death penalty it should always be done with lethal injection
I don't really get what benefits the death penalty has over simply locking him up for life, besides saving a little money
Isn't death penalty more expensive anyways? the least you can do is give a shot at rehabilitation.
Isn't death penalty more expensive anyways? the least you can do is give a shot at rehabilitation.
In the US maybe, in a poorer country I doubt death penalty is more expensive than keeping the criminal in jail.
I'm afraid to open the article, so:
Were any of his victims australian? like in "Daisy's destruction", is she Phillipino? I can imagine him getting away in SE asia, but I would figure that Australia would be more likely to bust this fucker
He was captured with assistance from the Australian Federal Police.
Yes, and it's a series of three videos. Lots of mutilation, use of fire, hanging kids on hooks. There was always a man and a woman torturing one child at the time. There's always some fucktard that spread this shit so me and several others saw the thumbnails. Still stuck in my head.
Thumbnails...? Wait, I thought there was only a video of a guy "reacting" and narrating what he was watching.
Wtf man.
People who are saying rot in prison clearly didn't read the article.....Hes ENJOYING prison and thinks it is a joke, death is the only suitable thing for this monster.
Capital punishment never came about to deter crime, I'm sure. It came about to rid this planet of the worst type of beings, Peter Scully being one of them.
People who are saying rot in prison clearly didn't read the article.....Hes ENJOYING prison and thinks it is a joke, death is the only suitable thing for this monster.
So what? Who cares if he's enjoying himself? The important thing -- the only thing that'll do any good -- is to keep him away from society; him being in prison does that.
Honestly this guys a sick fuck and I wouldn't bat an eye if he ended up being brutally murdered in prison, but at the same time people saying stuff like this

are demonstrating a pretty fucking dangerous mindset and are going a bit too far on the revenge thing. The justice system is not and should NEVER be there to sate the desire for revenge. Furthermore dehumanizing sick bastards like this does a disservice to the severity of his crimes. He is human, and that makes his crimes worse then if he was some sort of "subhuman" because that implies that he couldn't help it.

And letting this bastard live doesn't bother you? Im sorry but you're lying to yourself if you feel that revenge isnt a good closure
