So I have to ask and sorry if this is super offensive (really) but who gives a fuck? Or rather why does the media care this much over this trial? I mean dudes get shot and killed every day and they go on trial, get their mention in the news etc but why is the media absolutely slathering themselves with Zimmerman? What made his case so fantastically special that people will not shut up about it? I mean dudes been proven not-guilty I don't see why it needs to continue forever.

Because apparently innocent until proven guilty doesn't mean a flying shit anymore. Burden was on the prosecution to prove Zimmerman's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, and they failed to do so. Why are we still up in arms about this?

Like I said in the other thread, there are many examples and incidences of institutional racism in the American justice system. This trial was not one of those.

He had a full jury trial that was probably as fair as it could possibly be. You don't get to lobby the government into trying someone over and over again until you get the outcome you want. Yes, I disagree with the verdict, but there is a good reason one can only be tried once for a given crime.

In a self defense case there are usually no charges filed and there isn't a trial.
