• Iran experiencing a "tsunami of tourists"

A friend of mine has gone for a month, his family fled the country about 12 years ago but are able to visit these days. It sounds crazy and I'd love to go. Apparently the Iranian people are actually enamored with the USA.
Iran's a really nice place, yeah
I would visit Iran if they hadn't a law making it legal for them to execute me for being an atheist.
they don't execute tourists you dolt
"Welcome to Iran, here's some hummus, also what's your religion?" Yeah, no
And neither do we eat hummus. At least not in my family. :v: But yeah it isn't that bad. I was there a long time ago as a kid. But they don't exactly go around and question people about their religion. Of course, I have no idea what it is like to visit as a foreigner. Or well, I am a foreigner technically since i'm born in Sweden but at least I look like the rest of the population. I still find it hilarious that a lot of Swedes that I talk to get surprised when they find out Iran is more than a desert with a few tents and camels scattered about.
