No way.
With all the other shady shit connected to her and her husband, she definitely knew what she was doing. She just thinks she can get away with it.
In my opinion, not bringing charges against her would be a very large betrayal to the justice system and to the citizens of the US.
yeah, iirc when she was Secretary of State there was a memo sent out to all State Department members that they should not use private emails for government business.
she knew what she was doing.
I think it could affect her, but I don't believe it will a great deal. And yes, a lot of dems don't like her. But but like you said, they'll still vote for her over Trump or any other GOP candidate.
People's approval rating means jackshit once in offic, Congress's opinion of the president is what gets things done.
Let's think of this logically for one bloody second.
Would you want someone who only got past the law by being pardoned to become your president? No, you wouldn't.
This is a huge fucking deal and you have to be absolutely delirious to think otherwise.
Why did Hillary even do this in the first place?
Because she's gotten used to getting away with murder due to political influence/money, etc...
Just watch as absolutely nothing is done about this, just like every other time something shady happens. Then once this is all over, her supporters will claim this was just another politically charged fallacy to hurt her chances of winning the election. Their reasoning will be that if it never went to trial, then it means there wasn't evidence of any wrongdoing, so it must not have actually happened. Then rinse, wash and repeat the cycle when Hilary does something else stupid enough to make headlines.
I seriously doubt the DNC would have effectively backed her to this point if there was anyone even entertaining the thought of indictment in Washington.

It was actually a procedure shift, not a memo. If anyone but her had done this, their ass would be toast right now. People have have been drummed out of service and gone to jail for less.
I just can't shake the feeling that even if she did break the law, nothing would be done about it and it'd be swept under the rug.
It bothers me that certain people seem untouchable/above the law; but it's even worse that there are those who would argue that Clinton should be pardoned anyway 'for the good of the country'. Having a former first lady and Secretary of State convicted of a crime is embarrassing for sure, but pardoning them and electing them to the highest office available is even worse.
welp MSNBC just devoted a half an hour to "the conspiracy to get Hilary" via Chris Hayes.

Now why did they do that unless they know she's getting charged?

Probably because MSNBC is unabashedly on the democrat's side.

When it comes to biases, I would say MSNBC is worse than Fox. The only reason why it doesn't get noticed is because MSNBC is akin to an Ethiopian child when it comes to views compared to Fox.
Gerald Ford pardoned Nixon.
And Obama has nothing to lose.
Maybe it'll hurt a bit, but in the long run it'll be much better for the country as a whole, not just the Dems. This isn't just some random Congressman under scrutiny. This is a former Secretary of State and a former First Lady. There will be political fallout for this regardless of party affiliation and a total embarrassment for the US as a whole.
If she committed a crime she deserves to do the time. It does not matter what post she held.
If she committed a crime she deserves to do the time. It does not matter what post she held.
Yes, she deserves it.
But I seriously doubt she will because of her post.
I'm not arguing she's innocent or she shouldn't take any sort of punishment, only that realistically I seriously believe she can and will "get away with it".
Probably will happend like here in Spain. Right now a member of the royal family is being investigated for corruption, and has even standed on trial, but has blamed every single other person involved and seems like she won´t go to Jail.
So what will happend is that she might get charged (which kills her political campaing) but won´t go to Jail.
She's literally not, like 100% definitively not. She most certainly broke a whole shitload of serious laws. Whether she gets found innocent by a loophole is irrelevant, she did the deed.
Creatures of power have a tendency to slip out from beneath the machinery of justice with a wink and a nod, since it is basically in place to serve them, so yeah, I'm fairly sure nothing will happen to her.

otherwise kill her campaign, but she would be able to try next election.
Here's hoping the verdict is fair. I kinda hope she did do something naughty, but eh, if she didn't do anything illegal she should be cleared of all charges/allegations.
Of course she didn't do anything illegal. At the time, she was in a position to basically classify or declassify shit at will. So she'll just say Oh no I declassified that, wink wink. And off she goes, able to continue running
