Yes they are and also people are alloed to criticize your hypothesis. You jumping to "well am I not allowed" does have nothing to do with that, he told you that wether your hypothesis makes sense or not should be based on data, not on the drug-addict-and-now-pregnant-too tropes you have in your head.
do you know what a hypothesis is lol [editline]15th December 2016[/editline] not to mention this news and the fact that abortions are becoming more and more restricted is data in itself
What the actual fuck? Didnt know this could happen even though it makes sense. Is there punishment for this?
In at least some circumstances, the parents can end up with their children taken away if they don't go to rehab. One of my old co-workers ended up adopting two nephews (on top of the 7 children he already had) because their mother was a drug addict and the youngest nephew was born addicted to Oxycontin, and from what he described watching that baby in the hospital after he was born, it's a terrible thing to witness. It's almost like they're perpetually in pain, crying non-stop, beet-red all over, absolutely heart-breaking stuff to even hear about, never mind witnessing it. And since she didn't want to go to rehab, it was either the children would get adopted, or they would've been taken by the state and put into foster homes (and foster homes are a hit-and-miss around here as to whether or not the children are treated worth a damn).
He isnt criticizing the hypothesis though, he is criticizing him making a hypothesis. And that is dumb.
If you want to obsess over details, making an assumption is way different than stating a hypothesis. Most hypotheses I find are delivered with data.
