Except most of the things in that picture can be done far better and cheaper using other materials. Marijuana becoming legal isn't going to revolutionise the world
This picture forgot to mention that it can be used for fuel, which is a HUGE positive aspect.

I don't know what this article is talking about, CBD IS psychoactive, it's the ingredient that gives a "stoned" high. Maybe they're just using it as a general term?
Stops some cancer, causes more cancer that we've never even heard of until now!
420 blaze it faggots today!
This just in : Taking drugs will give you testicular cancer!

This just in : We can't make up our fucking mind!
...Come on.
Different ways of taking the compounds, and different compounds (one is an extract), in extremely different dosages.
Don't forget cancer, but the things it produces ALSO give cancer!
Smoking it causes cancer, it's been know for a while that vaporising it actually helps stop or slow the growth of it, I guess this proves it. Too bad most of the weed around here is renowned for the low amoun of CBD and high contents of the stuff that makes you go a bit loopy in high dosages
It's a shame people breed the plants for higher THC (to get you higher) rather than a nice mix of CBD, CBN and THC

Sorry but this is exaggerated and bending facts to fit the ideology. I have no qualms with hemp or cannabis myself, but the fact its trying to use hemp to justify cannabis is a bit sad.
It goes on about how hemp is wonderful but ignores that it fell out of favour anyways whenever or not countries made it illegal.
These days, making biofuel from algae is much much more feasible and productive than doing it with hemp.

are you really trying to say pot isn't a miracle elixir sent directly from YHWH himself that wouldn't bolster if not revolutionize the world economy with a new form of animal bedding
I really dont see why we would should have it legalized for recreational use. Do we really need another drug on top of alcohol and tobacco that negatively affects the body and causes impairment?
I really dont see why we would should have it legalized for recreational use.
So we can, 420 blaze it faggot.
On the eve of marijuana prohibition in the U.S., two articles about hemp appeared in major U.S. magazines. They were:
"The Most Profitable And Desireable Crop That Can Be Grown" From: Mechanical Engineering, February 26, 1937
"New Billion Dollar Crop" From: Popular Mechanics, February 1938
well hemp is legal here but noone uses it, so the hemp argument is pretty silly

The Soviet Union grew hemp too, plus it kept breeding it to find more productive strains.
As did many other European countries, but competition from other plants or fibres forced it out the market.
Also bear in mind those articles are from the 1930s. It's the 2010s now. Those articles fail to neglect the many changes since then. Cuba still makes paper from hemp, although mostly for cigar papers.

Name me one natural fibre that is either stronger or grows more densely per square meter?
Name me one natural fibre that is either stronger or grows more densely per square meter?
Name me one that is cheaper to process and uses more than 25% of the actual plant for actual use.
I really dont see why we would should have it legalized for recreational use. Do we really need another drug on top of alcohol and tobacco that negatively affects the body and causes impairment?
Because throwing people in jail over burning plant matter and inhaling it is nothing more than trivial bullshit that ruins the lives of many, wastes large amounts of tax payer's money and arguably is extremely unethical?
Frankly anyone who supports it is a terrible human being in my eyes.
I really dont see why we would should have it legalized for recreational use. Do we really need another drug on top of alcohol and tobacco that negatively affects the body and causes impairment?
Because the government shouldn't be able to stop you from recreationally smoking it when they have alcohol legalized, despite it having much higher health risks.
well hemp is legal here but noone uses it, so the hemp argument is pretty silly
Hemp is legal here too, but people only make clothes out of it and eat the hemp seeds. I don't understand why they don't harness it to use it for fuel.
It's a shame people breed the plants for higher THC (to get you higher) rather than a nice mix of CBD, CBN and THC
They do. When people harvest their plants late, thc has already begun turning into CBD and all the other cannabinoids people desire for the couch-locked high/treatment of certain symptoms. Any 'middies' you buy are usually like this and is why they make you 'burnt out' and other weed doesn't.

Probably because it's unprofitable.
I can't wait for people to debate the authenticity of this, so I can shut them up with the quote exactly how people tried to shut me up when I questioned the accuracy of a 20+ year study on marijuana's effect on intelligence that ended up having only 52 people from one town in New Zealand to base most of their findings on.
As seen here:
At least being banned prevents scout1 from starting useless debates and insulting people for having opinions...
Probably because it's unprofitable.
Is this a good mindset though? In my personal opinion, I would much prefer to live in a world that only used products that are safe for the environment and are sustainable, not one in which profit is the number one priority, obviously that is a complete fantasy though.

Well rather than use hemp for energy, we could always use nuclear power to generate electricity.

'Kay, call me when I can buy a miniature nuclear reactor to replace the gas tank in my car.
Because battery technology is still in a shitty state for all-electric car usage.
And hybrids are shitty compromises.

Well you could always use biofuel made from algae.
I wonder if they will give my overdue grandma this, she's been doing a lot of experimental stuff for her brain cancer.
She's been living for 6 years longer than any doctor said she was going to live for.
it's like nobody read the article with the whole "testicular cancer" bullshit. it's never given anybody testicular cancer, just raises the chance(if that even). every time you go outside, the chance that you'll die is increased, but none of you controlling losers want to ban going outside.
Is it me or does Facepunch seem horribly indoctrinated by the DARE program? For an extremely Liberal and Atheist majority I think you guys would like marijuana.

It depends on the day. Sometimes it's "cannabis is awesome" and other times its "pot is stupid". I don't understand why though.
