Neither would I, as long as they use some of their wads of money to buy a lot of new servers.
They have alot of servers, alot in the US, europe (alot of servers in EU countries, Russia, and the balkans), and Asia. they already have "alot of new servers" [editline]8th August 2012[/editline]
3DS Max Achievements Descartes - Create your first cylinder Gaben - Apply soft body physics simulation to a humanoid character Hip To Be Square - create a box object Photoshop Achievements: Give her the click - make your first fake celeb nude I feel pretty - edit out a pimple
You made two give her the dick achievements [editline]8th August 2012[/editline]
If you believe that just go hang yourself. You clearly aren't capable of rational thought in such a simple circumstance. If it's hyperbole, just stop posting. This forum has enough shitheels with EA hate boners going on about it every thread. If it's a joke, it's a pretty shit joke. Perhaps if EA were actually scamming the fuck out of us it'd be funny, but compared to some other companies, and some of their history, they're pretty half-decent right now. This shit stopped being funny when it started.
hi ea marketing team
so now programs other than video games are being brought over to steam? at this point why not just make their own OS I'd buy it Don't know what the dumbs are for, kinda meant this in a joking tone but whatever
so now programs other than video games are being brought over to steam? at this point why not just make their own OS I'd buy it
putting all trust into a single developer is possibly the worst thing you can do in the history of doing things.
Oh wait, the Windows Store only sells Metro apps. Not really direct competition
oh wait nevermind they're valve, the single developer incapable of making any mistakes
putting all trust into a single developer is possibly the worst thing you can do in the history of doing things.
Which is exactly why this is a good thing.
This isn't good, Valve is getting too big. It's turning into a monopoly, and monopoly's breed lack of innovation. someone needs to come up with some sort of alternative to steam, because right now it's rampant growth will do nothing but hurt in the long run.
It's a conspirancy.

I don't mind Valve selling software, but I do hope in the future someone makes a alternative for Steam when it comes to software. Anyway other sites like GoG, etc can sell software too if they wanted to try and get permission from developers.
I'm just waiting for SteamOS. Hopefully Unix based. Wether Linux or BSD, i dunno. But goddamn that would awesome! Every PC game dev would have to port to that OS to sell anything, but damn. It would beat using Windows for everything IMO. [editline]8th August 2012[/editline]
But it's Valve so it's okay!!! Yeah it' about time someone else makes an online gaming platf- oh wait...
Steam Media Player? :P
it already exists [t]http://goo.gl/T2nfK[/t]
it already exists [t]http://goo.gl/0Hc3U[/t]
That's windows media player.
That's windows media player.
explain this [t]http://goo.gl/6Jqe8[/t]
Even with a Steam sale, CS6 Collection would cost an arm and a leg
I'd be interesting to see if and how they deal with this in Linux, but this could encourage companies to put their commercial software on Linux.
explain this [t]http://goo.gl/6Jqe8[/t]
That's just an executable, it's not doing anything other creating a media player control.
3DS Max Achievements First blood - crash max without doing anything
That's more like it
Even with a Steam sale, CS6 Collection would cost an arm and a leg
CS6 would never go on a Steam sale anyways. The biggest discounts (for non-student licenses) I've seen on an Adobe Creative Suite were probably around 20% on the official Adobe site and that's it.
Steam OS please.
Apparently they call it Ubuntu.
adobe wouldn't ever put their products on Steam anyways
"Pre-Order Microsoft Office 2014, and get a unique 'Clippy' item in Team Fortress 2!"
Please yes, include popups all over the screen: "Do you need help capturing this flag?"
WinRAR Demo Achievements: Get 7-Zip: "Click close to the dialog telling you "YOU MUST BUY ME" 500 times"
If Steam has a monopoly, it's BECAUSE of their innovation. And if they keep that monopoly, it's because they're providing a great service that people WANT to stick with. I see nothing wrong with this.

would be cool if they tried to also sell other things like headsets and shit. That's if they could or would.
