So much buthurt in the thread. The iPhone is a great device and you know it. While some of the specs may not be superior to the SGSII, it's all about the OS as well.

This happened with the iPad 2, I ordered mine a day after it released online, and ended up having to wait almost a whole month for Apple to get a new batch ready. I'd like to upgrade to an iPhone from my basic phone but I guess I'll have to wait a long time for that now thanks to idiots ditching their unscathed iPhone 4 for an iPhone 4S. I'm certainly OK with Apple keeping their products refreshed each year, but the buyers are ridiculous.

I don't think that's necessarily true, the Apple TV was never that much of a hit, and Mac's still aren't selling nearly as well as Windows based PC's. Plus there's Newton, which never really took off either.
iPhones and iPads continue to sell like hotcakes though.

Well Apple TV isn't some portable show off thing. Macs are just expensive, but people consider them "superior" goods to Windows PC's.

My friend bought an Imac (They are called Imac, right?), installed WIndows 7 on it (Not even dualboot)
and says that now he has the most powerful gaming system possible

All of Facepunch is not "mad" that people are buying the 4S, it's just a few outspoken individuals who can't grasp the fact that it's other peoples money and they can spend it any way they like, including on a pretty darn good phone.
At first I thought the title meant they sold out their iPhones on all the US Navy's aircraft carriers.
Plus, once people have purchased apps, music, and more on iTunes, it'd be obvious why they'd stick with iPhones and things and continue to buy them rather than switching to Android. I've been thinking about an Android phone, but I have so many apps and things purchased on iTunes for my iPod Touch and iPad that to me it's silly to switch to another OS with a whole different market. I want to stick with the iOS phone to continue to get my money's worth on the things I bought.
