Transgender teen leaves note on tumblr blaming Christian parents for suicide - Polidicks

There's a few things that have kept me going. First of all, I just don't like the idea of being dead. Like, I'll get there eventually and then stay that way forever, and that sucks. I'd rather keep existing, even if I did end up living a sad life. I'll still take that life by the balls and make it mine. I also just don't want to be a tragedy. I don't want to end everything just because at this moment in time, things are scary, and difficult. Stories like the one this thread was made for are just so, so sad, and I just don't want to be that. I refuse to be.

why do all good, sound people have to start out in caged, genuinely oppressive, environments?? I'm at a loss for words. I hope this family changes their ways. I hope this woman's death is an eye-opener for any other families in the same situation.

Don't know if I'm being a dick but: 1) if your parents don't love you for who you are they're doing it wrong 2) if you're going to kill yourself do it in a way which doesn't cause someone else to kill you. That farmer has to live with that for the rest of his life now.

I feel sorry that this individual felt so trapped that they thought suicide was the solution to their problems. Suicide is a permanent fix to a temporary problem.
