I find it hard to believe that a furry with an expansion fetish can dead-lift anything
Oh jesus christ, an expansion fetish, really? It's an avatar, I like dragons, it's supposed to be funny? What does that have to do with anything anyway? How does a mental mindset have anything to do with deadlifting? [editline]17th July 2011[/editline]
Because your're suggesting your >200 weight is due to muscle, yet you claim This shows a fundamental lack of basic nutrition knowledge that you would have known if you had any clue about health.
I was not saying I know about the subject, I was saying I work-out. Read my posts, man.
Calories is the total ENERGY intake from the food. Infact calories can mean nothing in how much weight you can gain. But the fat label tells you how much fat is in the food, your body generally eats that all up.
Calories are the amount of energy your body can metabolize from the food. Any energy you don't use is stored as fat. So calories mean everything. It's not like the fat molecules in the food get absorbed directly into your body as fat, they get broken down into component molecules and re-used elsewhere. Not just for energy storage either.

What exactly is that supposed to mean? My 68-year old grandmother walks on a treadmill for 10 minutes a day and she calls that "working out". Well according to the information you've given us, you dead lift and jog. According to my experience and everything in the fitness and health world that leaves us much room to speculate on your health and even according to you,
Nowadays I barely eat on meal a day, but I'm still over 200 pounds.
Your diet is composed of absolute crap most likely given that statement. You're in no position to claim knowledge on the subject and make assertions such as,
Calories is the total ENERGY intake from the food.
Different metabolisms Doctor zedacon. Im lucky that like your friend I can eat whatever the fuck I want and still be skinny.
When you're a teenager yes, when you're an adult that may change

I jog for about an hour every day and I deadlift 320-pounds three times a week (320 was my last one at least). My statement earlier wasn't entirely false either, refer to this post:
Calories are the amount of energy your body can metabolize from the food.
and I haven't had an after-dinner desert in more than ten years.
You are very likely not human
people need to realise that fat and calories are only two components of food. you can eat only 2,000cal a day and be thin, but all the while still be unhealthy
this post was misunderstood. I meant to say that you can eat 2k cals a day, and be thin (oxford comma) and still be unhealthy p.s. sorry for calling you a twit collin, I was just upset that you made that assumption
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ig0nnfr7yBs Im just saying
Muscle mass and strength are not always exclusive to each other. Are you suggesting because that women( a powerlifter and someone who trains specifically for strength) can dead lift the same amount, that it is a easy feat?
Want to eat less? Eat out with Sanius
Funny because its true
Calories is the total ENERGY intake from the food. Infact calories can mean nothing in how much weight you can gain. But the fat label tells you how much fat is in the food, your body generally eats that all up.
nuh-uh. dietary fat doesn't make people fatter, that's a wholly unsubstantiated popular extrapolation that resulted from the also unsubstantiated lipid hypothesis and while you say genes can affect what "the body does with the calories", basic human anatomy and the laws of thermodynamics still apply. a person can only gain weight if they eat more calories than their bodies expend. genes might affect how many calories their bodies require and the various 'thresholds' at which over-intake becomes significant enough to cause weight gain, but the same fundamental rules still apply. [editline]17th July 2011[/editline]
I deadlift three times a week and jog around my neighborhood every day. You have never met me in real life, how can you suggest such things without proof?
i think its reasonable to extrapolate that you aren't the world's premier weightlifter from the fact that:
Nowadays I barely eat on meal a day, but I'm still over 200 pounds.
when a healthy diet is an inseparable part of any fitness routine
U should not assume this way padawon.
Sports Bars have some of the worst food ever. Of the many I've been to, only one was acceptable. The rest serve burnt food that either lacks taste or taste exactly like how the food shouldn't.
Sounds like a Cap'n D's we ate at in Tennessee once, place was horrible. The chicken tasted like fish, the fries tasted like fish, the SODA tasted like fish, and the fish tasted like condensed paper towels fried in fish oil.
There's one trick my mom gave me that has never failed me. People probably just need to learn to take the time to eat. If you've finished your plate within the first 20 minutes, you're doing it wrong. We weren't meant to gulp down food like we do.
We actually were meant to eat food quickly, mostly because we originally had to eat as much as possible as fast as possible because we didn't know when the next predator or food shortage would come But since we don't really have either of those anymore our default eating style makes us fatter
