If someone is planning to go to Alabama, a state where English is the official language, they damn well ought to learn English if they want to take a state test. It's common sense.
Thanks captain obvious. What I'm saying is regardless of official language we should try more to help our immigrants rather than go out of our way to make life hard for them.
Most of the country speaks English. Instead of them bitching about it just learn the fucking language the majority already know so its easier for everyone instead of having two different fucking languages.
It's not easier for everyone, it's easier for you. It's harder for them.
The U.S. needs to make English its official language, we're wasting too much time and money adapting everything so immigrants (and the occasional illegal) have no need to learn English to be here. Unacceptable.

yeah alienating immigrants will do wonders for our economy
I actually agree with him. I don't like the multicultural shit. Don't get me wrong. Others are welcome at any time. But why does the USA have to have the burden of having billions of languages? If you want that, go to Botswana and learn English, Afrikaans, French, Xhosa and 302958023 other languages they have.
Good. Fucking good. If you live in the United States of America, Learn fucking English. Speak Spanish or whatever the fuck language when you need to. If you can't speak English you should not be allowed in this country.

Because the USA is the result of billions of languages
unless you believe the settlers all spoke english in which case you should history much more carefully
To this day, my grandmother doesn't really speak any English. She came to the US and raised two generations of descendants who love the English language.
I'm about 20mi out from New York City, so unlike a lot of you, I like diversity and am comfortable around people who aren't white. Here, we're taught to be proud of the fact that people come to the US from all over the world. Some people would rather speak their native language. Some people might even suck at English. I don't care.
It has nothing to do with being white or liking diversity. I think EVERYONE should know more then one language. However, if I go to Italy I'm going to be expected to know some Italian. If I go to Spain, I should know some Spanish. And if I try to get a Drivers License in ANY non-English country, I think I should be adept in speaking their language.

Lol not really. When I went to a Dutch school I was taught German, French, and English because that was the Europe standards.
Don't talk about Europe when you know nuthin about it.
Fucking laughed when I saw this about week ago
PS:I live in Alabama
I was at this local deli/restaurant/wine shop, and I saw these bumper stickers for Tim James so I took one and put it on my mirror. :patriot:
At least he's better than Roy Moore. If that man gets elected, I'm saying fuck the university and moving.
