I wonder what it would take to destroy that thing. I bet a sabot round from a tank could punch right through it.
oh boy that's not gonna be cheap to fix
Ehh, they just pump out the gasoline and refill it with diesel. It's actually pretty cheap to fix. My dad made the same mistake when he was abroad one day and some joker had switched the gasoline and diesel pump hoses.
I thought the rumors(History Channel "experts") that it could accept gasoline and diesel were real apparently not.
It may be true still, but it may have a manual switch for telling the system what fuel is being used, and using gasoline may have caused excess stress on the internal components while it was in diesel mode, thus leading to a failure.
oh boy that's not gonna be cheap to fix
Your avatar couldn't be more fitting. Unless it was a diesel.
Reminds me of this:
I watched a documentary on this just yesterday. Apparently, it's a high tech tank-vehicle with short-term life support features built in to ensure the Presidents getaway. It's expensive as fuck, and Is pretty much one of the safest cars in the world. It's equipped with out of ordinary strong glass, even stronger than the highest projection level bulletproof glass, and is shielded with thick, titanium and mix metal plates on every inch. Even the fuel tank is covered in a sponge which protects it from bullet damage. And... it kinda gets stuck on slight bumps

If someone wanted to kill the president they would be better off sniping him at one of his speeches or something.
Reminds me of this:
those doors are like 10 inches thick christ

Oh, and a big fuckin' sticker on the inside of the fuel cap door with the text: "DIESEL ONLY YOU MORON" written in black on a bright yellow background :v:
Your avatar couldn't be more fitting. Unless it was a diesel.
It is a diesel.
I don't get why people are so surprised the limo is a diesel? Diesel fuel is used pretty much everywhere else in the world for normal passenger vehicles except in the US - considering this car is taken overseas, why wouldn't you use diesel? Plus the extra torque and general reliability for heavy pulling... why not?

Wonder how much it weighs.
Actually, I think the entire reason behind it being diesel is that its so damn heavy.
Without a doubt. A petrol engine would just enter struggletown trying to chug that thing along.
Actually, I think the entire reason behind it being diesel is that its so damn heavy.
Which is why it's diesel because diesel engines provide greater torque...
Which is why it's diesel because diesel engines provide greater torque...
Yep, if you want a fuckload of torque, you go for a turbodiesel engine. And with a heavily armored limousine, that can only be a good thing.
he should of had a 2stroke gasoliene engine
Obama takes 2 identical limos wherever he goes, so he has his backup for things like this
