http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-video-idUSKBN19N0OZ
President Donald Trump stepped up his feud with the media on Sunday by tweeting a mock video of himself tackling and repeatedly striking a man with a CNN logo super-imposed in place of the person's head, followed by a logo saying "Fraud News Network." The video appeared to be a modified version of a 2007 appearance by Trump at World Wrestling Entertainment's WrestleMania 23 promotion, in which Trump "takes down" WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. In Sunday's video, McMahon's head has been replaced with the CNN logo. After Trump appears to beat on the CNN effigy, a logo, "FNN Fraud News Network" appears at the bottom of the screen in script similar to that of CNN.
Literally inciting violence against journalists.
i can't help but laugh at the absurdity of this. the president of the united states of america, the most powerful man in the world, posted a GIF of himself wrestling a CNN icon. amazing
shitposter in chief
The president of the United States is shitposting.... :stop:
Mods pls ban for shitposting
Literally inciting violence against journalists.
Oh come off it This is literally an internet meme If you wanted to even take the video seriously, the farthest you could take it is a metaphor for how Trump believes he's beating CNN He's shit posting and making an ass out of himself, but you're trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill
Oh come off it This is literally an internet meme If you wanted to even take the video seriously, the farthest you could take it is a metaphor for how Trump believes he's beating CNN No one is encouraging violence against anyone, unless you include the countless calls for assassination by celebrities and talking heads among others

fair point, i stand corrected, original post edited
That's a dumb video title for what amounts to Trump saying "yes, beat the shit out of people who are beating the shit out of you". EDIT: Originally just one video was posted by Judas, which is what I'm responding to. EDIT 2: That second video doesn't really phase me. Nine Inch Nails asked the audience to beat the shit out of someone pointing a laser pointer at the screen which broke the touch screen for one of the songs they were doing. They were trying to ruin the show for everyone else by being a shit troll. Saying that's "advocating violence" without providing context seems disingenuous, and I'm someone who does not like Trump.
Good! I've read playing pretend helps to develop social, emotional, and language skills. Maybe by 2020 we'll have an actual president!
The question here is, did he make the gif himself or did he tell someone to?
Trump has reposted other people's stuff before. I think he got flak for reposting a picture of himself Pepe-fied.

I think it would be fun.

But it's a little uncharacteristic of the leader of a global superpower to not only post memes, but post memes about him assaulting the press, wouldn't you agree? Like honestly, this is just one step down from him posting one of those god-emperor memes from r/The_Donald. The president now posts memes of himself taking down his enemies. What a world
The question here is, did he make the gif himself or did he tell someone to?
He probably saw someone post it and just reposted it because he thought it was funny
The question here is, did he make the gif himself or did he tell someone to?
you never know what's out there but I didn't GIF, I don't have any GIF and I didn't GIF
Is sheer immaturity enough reason to suplex the president out of office

It's just an old internet meme he probably thought was funny.

Anyone who keeps defending Trump at this point is brain dead.
This is hilarious
hi can I throw some drastic metaphorical scenarios at you and see how you defend Trump? I think it would be fun.
If you'd like. I'm all for criticizing Trump, but I think a lot of people are being unrealistic, overly sensitive, and critical on grounds I don't think they would really care about if made by any other person or said in similar contexts. Is what he said kosher? Nope, but I also think people shouldn't be robots about it and understand the context it was delivered in, which is protesters spawning their own violence and fucking with other Trump supporters/the campaign. He didn't say go run outside and punch the nearest liberal in the face.
anyway these tweets are just a distraction to keep media junkies and the media itself looking at bright colors and paying no attention to the actual atrocities the GOP is doing constantly
Anyone who keeps defending Trump at this point is brain dead.
I think it can be boiled down to sunk cost and trolling. A few of my Trump supporting friends defend everything they can because it sounds like they do not want to accept that they may have made a mistake in their decisions. Others are just happy that they have the biggest "trigger" in office. I only defend Trump when I think the people on my side are being a little ridiculous. Trump is the epitome of awful, but that ain't a blank check. We gotta be stronger. [editline]2nd July 2017[/editline]
anyway these tweets are just a distraction to keep media junkies and the media itself looking at bright colors and paying no attention to the actual atrocities the GOP is doing constantly
The media does that anyway just to keep people watching. With how sensational CNN has become over the past couple decades, I think that they really helped give Trump the exposure needed to win office and make the country a little bit dumber. And it's not just CNN, but pretty much all of the news outlets everywhere that's helping our nation split further and further apart as we're all put on some sort of a slow boil of hatred. Normal factors are indeed in addition to all of this and can't be denied, but I feel like whether you're reading CNN or Breitbart you're being dreadfully manipulated to feel a certain way. That's why I do my damned hardest to find the driest, most boring news sources available.

What a load of fucking babies. Trump has defineitly incited violence in the past but this is just a internet meme he tweeted. They should be reporting the HORRIBLE damage he is doing to the country. Not stooping down his level by being a whiny idiot.
CNN doesn't understand memes and The President doesn't understand his responsibilities
EDIT 2: That second video doesn't really phase me. But within the context of Trump and the Republican Party that gladly welcomes people who attack reporters into Congress, there's a bit more too it.
We have children in this country that are more qualified to lead.
