Actually it doesn't but noone wants to take the time to rewrite their programs and games for Linux at this point. Windows became the dominant platform and it will stay that way for a long time.

I wanted to come up with a rebuttal to Panda X, but I can't. He has a good point.

If Microsoft already knew, they kept it damn quiet, harming nobody, or would have fixed it when discovered.
If a virus/trojan/etc exploited it, the anti-virus companies would have reported it (probably the same day it would hit the internet) and it would be fixed by now.
A Google engineer just discovered it, and reported it, and it's being fixed.

Regardless of how long it's existed, the time from first awareness to fix is still short, so there's no real problem. Unlike IE6. :v:
(Besides, I switched to 64-bit nearly 2 years ago anyway)

The I see it Windows and Linux are like Automatics and Manuals. One is a little less efficient, but easier to use, and the other is for people who spend the whole day griping their stick.
