But they haven't been this doubtful about a release before.
http://whatifgaming.com/gta-iv-for-pc-very-doubtful Funny how we're doing the same thing with the petition.
How?
Emulators dude they're PSP games

I signed a while back when this link was first posted. Loving how the hip "online petitions do nothing" bandwagon is inevitably now in full swing. Seriously guys, doing nothing also does nothing and as for not being able to change "private organisations... intentions", these 'private organisations' are here to make money at the end of the day. 100,000 people sign a petition online because they want the game? Well, that's at least a mild interest right there and the lions share of those people will be buying the title if and when it releases. Does anyone here not know a friend who's had Steam for the past 3 years or so that hasn't played GTA IV? It's 30 seconds of your time (if you already have a Change.org account) and maybe they'll release it a little earlier.
Emulators dude they're PSP games
Didn't realise there was a functional PSP emulator, are they worth playing?

EVERY SINGLE GTA GAME SINCE GTA III HAS BEEN RELEASED ON PC BETWEEN SIX TO EIGHT MONTHS AFTER THE FIRST RELEASE, AND IT HAS BEEN A TRADITION FOR ELEVEN YEARS. GODDAMN

What about GTA2? i have it lying around here somewhere.
pretty much every time i refresh there is one more supporter this is more exciting than watching something install! [editline]29th November 2012[/editline]
7 more needed.
Didn't realise there was a functional PSP emulator, are they worth playing?
No there isn't any good PSP emu as of yet. Your only bet are the PS2 versions.¨ [t]http://i.imgur.com/U3Vy4.jpg[/t] It's a shame they never ported them to PC, because they are only spinoff games canonical to III-era Oh and I'm definitely signing this. I want GTAV so much!
Now 49,995 needed?
that was the most anticlimactic event of my life it just became a longer bar the second they made it
Now 49,995 needed?
Yeah, what.
What about GTA2? i have it lying around here somewhere.
Every GTA game since the original (which was released first on PC then PS1 a couple of months later) has got a PC release
Yeah, what.
that's to 150k. its at 100.5k now
I bet half the signers wouldn't even buy it and pirate instead.
114,000 signatures now I hope they release it for PC especially since I sold my PS3 a couple months ago
Consoles master race. (Fuck relax, I'm kidding...)
Consoles master race. (Fuck relax, I'm kidding...)
I would get in on the consoles too first if I hadn't sold my ps3 and xbox.
For those of you spouting off that they are going to release it on the pc anyways, this isnt just about that. This is showing that PC gamers aren't just some "niche market". R* is starting to think that pc gaming is just some old fad that some people hang on to. Sure maybe they WILL release it on the pc regardless. And maybe they'll just stop releasing pc games all together if pc gamers dont get together and say "hey im tired of you developers sucking console players dicks, and giving us leftovers and shit ports."

At least for something like GTA. This petition proves nothing. It does not show how many people will buy the game, it shows how many people might be interested. And even for that the number is so low it makes the petition void. Now if it gets 500k sigs, then maybe it's worth something, otherwise not really. Props for trying though.
Still haven't signed the petition. I'm expecting it to release on PC at some point which is good enough for me.

If everyone that signed a petition payed full price for a PC copy ($50 let's assume). Rockstar would have about 6 million dollars if I did the calculation right. While I feel this is somewhat overblown. It would be nice if Rockstar did just save themselves and everyone else the hassle and just say "Consoles are our first priority, but a PC release will follow.". I think they did something similar with Max Payne 3.

Don't lie you're "uncertain", you know if a game comes to a platform before it's even made. Or maybe they're doing this on purpose so people buy on console and then later on PC. Because there are people who wont get it on consoles if they know a PC version is 100% coming.
Is this less of a petition for it to be released on PC and more of one for it to not be a port?
Is this less of a petition for it to be released on PC and more of one for it to not be a port?
Seems to primarily be the former, with the latter hopefully coming along.
Is this less of a petition for it to be released on PC and more of one for it to not be a port?
But it WILL be a port. Unless they developed a PC version side by side. Now how good will the port be is another matter.
I hope this number gets higher. They usually SELL around one million copies for the PC while console versions sell about 10-20 million copies, this might be the reason why they wait. Pirating is often a major cause why some publishers and developers choose consoles before PCs. Money matters for these guys.
